Congestion taxes- here's a video of green lefty Chris Bishop lying through his teeth on the acceptance of congestion charges in New York.

In fact there has been massive opposition with even President Trump fighting against. Trump called it a burden on working-class drivers and small businesses and argued it exceeded statutory authority.

District Courts issued a preliminary injunction in May 2025 blocking enforcement of the termination.

The Trump administration appealed. That appeal remains pending with no final decision reported.

Rockland and Orange Counties have also issued legal challenges claiming constitutional violations related to the right to travel, equal protection. These were rejected by the Second Circuit in July 2026.

Additional suits (including from New Jersey interests and others) continue or are in negotiation, and the federal government has backed some opposing efforts, but none have halted the program.

The taxes have not at all met with the universal appeal the duplicitous Mr Bishop claims.

Interesting revelation re data centres.

The Albanese govt in Australia is designing rules for their establishment there. One of the stipulations is the companies must provide their own source of electric power.

Data center operators are saying that's fine, but so called "renewables" are not going to cut it.

They want gas powered turbines and say this is the most effective and environmentally sound compromise available.

Gas powered turbines....!!!! Shock horror.

What are they going to do in New Zealand, where PM Luxon welomes data centres as badly needed investments?

Luxon keeps telling us renewables are the future and if we keep building wind and solar farms, all our needs will be met.

Its a deception bordering on criminal. Data center operators live in the real world and know sometimes sunny or windy days can't be a reliable energy source.

Time to end the destructive and costly renewables deceit and return to cheap reliable hydrocarbons.
