Following worship this Sunday, the Peace & Justice Committee is hosting a discussion about how Lake Street Church can support justice for the Palestinian people. Ahlam Jbara, deputy director of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights is the guest speaker.
Lakeside worship with baptism 7/15 at 10:30. Brown bag picnic to follow. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on and a towel if you plan to go into the lake. Cold drinks, watermelon, and ice cream provided for the picnic.

Bring any food that you like and a lawn chair. Alcohol is permitted in the park. Janet and Kay will arrive early and stake out a good spot.

The next Christian book group meeting is this Sunday, June 17, at noon in the Parlor. We will discuss the final chapter of the Borg book. This is the last meeting before September. All are welcome, and be sure to bring your ideas for new discussion topics in the fall.
