#tarspot ID thread: With the confirmation of tar spot (last yr) here in Ontario, scouting and ID is important. It can blow in and over winter in ON. It is a raised black lesion that looks like a droplets of tar flicked on the leaf. Tassel time is a good time to start scouting.

Tar Spot is more widespread in SWO than you may think. Finding it in many fields in Chatham-Kent. Fungicide has slowed development but residual only lasts ~20 days. Whether you have sprayed or not it’s time to scout. #ontag #agronomy
