Western TN (Kongu belt) continues to sizzle, and there’s no relief in sight over the coming days. Chennai suburbs are also quite hot, while areas closer to the coast are relatively better but high humidity is making conditions uncomfortable.

With election activity picking up, take precautions if you’re heading out:

- Carry an umbrella or wear a hat
- Avoid standing in direct sunlight for long hours
- Keep a water bottle with you at all times
- Prefer light colored clothing (white, yellow, light grey, pink)
- Avoid dark shades (black, purple, brown, navy blue, and dark green)
- Children and elderly persons are strongly advised to avoid outdoor exposure during peak heat hours (11.00-3.30 pm)

It would be wise for all contesting parties to schedule roadshows and public events after 4:30 PM to minimize heat exposure.
