BREAKING: The U.S. Olympic women’s ice hockey Team Captain Hilary Knight SLAMS Trump over the disgusting joke he made about her gold medal-winning squad to the men's team.

She refused to remain silent about "locker room" talk...

“I just thought the joke was distasteful and unfortunate, and I think just the way women are represented, it’s a great teaching point to really shine light on how women should be championed for their amazing feats,” Knight said.

The scandal kicked off when Trump called the U.S. men's team to congratulate them on winning the gold medal against Canada. He invited them to the White House and then joked that it was unfortunate that he also had to invite the equally victorious women — the implication being that women's sport are inferior.

It was typical Trump, gross misogyny wrapped up in a pathetic attempt at humor. This is that same "locker room" talk that Republicans mentioned when Trump's "grab 'em by the p*ssy" remarks exploded into the headlines. The truth is that Trump and men like him don't see women as people.

While the men's team ultimately attended Trump's State of the Union Address and visited the White House, the women's team declined. They were right to do so and Knight was right to speak out. At this point, silence helps no one except these sexist monsters.
