disgraceful of @RepJoshG to collab w republican mike lawler who’s sitting on a flippable district that i’m actively working in to win for democrat effie philips-staley. guess when your highest priority is defending israel’s interests defeating fascist republicans is low priority
your constituents like paying $4.50+ a gallon so trump can wage israels war? you brutalized your constituents last time you held a town hall little man. your days in office are numbered and you know it.
The single largest form of theft in America is wage theft. $50 billion a year are stolen from American workers.
If a billionaire amasses their wealth by underpaying their full-time workers so severely that they must rely on food assistance and government programs to survive, then no, that wealth was not earned by one individual - it was a wealth transfer subsidized by underpaid American workers and the public who get stuck with the bill for large corporations free-riding off our systems.
The point is less about individual morality. It’s more about how our current economic reality of shattering inequality rewards screwing over workers and exploiting essential systems at scale.
We’re talking monopoly power. Rent-seeking. Wage theft. Profiteering. Stock buybacks. Destabilizing housing markets. Companies using SNAP/EBT to underwrite their wages. Massive government subsidies or contracts to corporations following lobbying and dark money in politics with little to no oversight or accountability.
Some people get enraged that I draw attention to this. That’s on them. Let them call me shrill, dumb, inexperienced, girly, uneducated - these folks will say anything to distract from or undercut the truth that working people are getting screwed, and giving people a fair shake means we must have a grown conversation about reigning in abuse of power.
The unaccountable, unlawful, inhumane campaign of death and displacement continues. The Israeli government continues to drop U.S.-made bombs in Lebanon. More than 2,600 people have died, and over 8,350 people are injured.
Congress can and must put an end to the violence in the region. We must Block the Bombs and pass the Lebanon War Power Resolution I co-led with @RepRashida .
New: A Washington Post satellite imagery review reveals that Iran has caused far more damage to US military sites than previously reported.
Amid a US imagery blackout, Iran has released more than 100 images of strikes on US bases.
We analyzed them: https://t.co/r68Qpki0TG
If the people named across the Epstein files truly have nothing to hide, why are so many conversations happening behind closed doors?
Howard Lutnick (and everyone else connected to this network) should be testifying publicly, under oath, in full view of the American people.
Secrecy is how this survived for decades.
Kash Patel isn't hunting terrorists.
He's not hunting down pedophiles.
He's not going after "bad guys."
He's investigating reporters, for leaks about his alleged drinking. That's INSANE.
Kash Patel is UNFIT.
Dude's gotta go.
Scott MacFarlane on the FBI raid of Sen. Lucas’s home and office:
There are going to be questions raised about how Fox News was there as the raid was undertaken. That type of thing is rare. I’ve covered the FBI for a lot of years and the Department of Justice for a lot of years—you don’t get advance warning of raids, in part because it’s viewed that it could put people in jeopardy, either the people being raided or the raiders.
What’s more, it is prescribed in the Justice Manual: you do not give the media advance warning of a search unless it has high levels of approval. This has happened before, but in this case it clearly had a high level of approval.
But look at the Justice Manual, then look at the images on the screen—you can see those two are not connected. What’s more, it really is telling that the Department of Justice is trying to take a megaphone to blast out this search. It’s clearly a political rival of the president’s.
What’s more, they’re blasting this out while they keep behind closed doors what’s happening with the Epstein files. Howard Lutnick’s interview is behind closed doors, and there’s been no action by the Department of Justice to hear or amplify the voices of Epstein survivors.
For those of you commenting about the ceasefire being broken, keep in mind that Israel broke it in the first hours by bombing an ambulance in Qalalieh, and they have bombed us every day since. There has been no break from this terror campaign.
This is an insulting, xenophobic, and false claim from Tom Homan. The people who have died in custody include some who were actively undergoing treatment for medical issues; treatment which was disrupted by their ICE detention.
