@supra_marysia It should be possible to recover the receptors. Since the receptor only complexes the ammonium ion form, it is possible to release the guest by the addition of a base to form the amine. The amine form is not complexed. The free receptor and the free amine could then be separated.

@NWhiteGroup @ismsc2020 We didn't thought of it. But the difficulty is that the modification of the large rim is challenging and there is few that is reported about it for this type of receptors. We are currently looking for a synthetic way to modify the large rim.

@SreeGayathriTa1 @ismsc2020 We tested with a mixture of a primary and a secondary ammonium ion and we did not observed any difference in the binding of the primary ammonium ion. It seems that the presence of the secondary ammonium ion did not affect the binding properties of the receptor.
