A code red for humanity. An extremely sobering headline from the #IPCCReport . As a team, the #environment runs through all we do. That’s why we've launched our ‘Pledge to the Planet’ aiming to reduce our impact on the world. Read the full blog here 👉 https://t.co/lSAxGbSid3

#Swifts are amazing birds. #SwiftMapper is our new project with @Natures_Voice@RSPBScience to help protect them. Here's our latest quick read blog post about a bird that brings magic to our skies for 3 short months of the year. https://t.co/mV7AHfIXRM
Behind the scenes - Today our CEO, @kilbey252, was interviewed by @MsEmmaChaplin of @SussexWildlife after he became hooked by their #BackGardenBirdRace & decided to... well, build them an #app to help https://t.co/cLbFHdrhIi. It's the first time he's had hare on his head for ages
Happy #EarthDay fellow Earthlings! Surely the day of all days to think about our relationship with our amazing planet. We can all do little things to help. Our fav idea - ditch material gifts for loved ones & buy them a membership to your local @WildlifeTrusts or other #charity
Watching this made me feel physically sick. What sort of person would enjoy this and what motivates them? Deeply troubling and incredibly sad. #trophyhunter#trophyhunting
Ambelopoulia means “birds of the vineyards”. @birdlifecyprus say enforcement against restaurants serving it is very limited, yet as the key driver for the illegal killing of many 100s of thousands of songbirds it is crucial that urgent action is taken by #Cyprus Government
UK media pick up the HORRENDOUS dolphin bycatch happening in the Atlantic. This is not just a French problem. ALL govs, including UK, Dutch, Irish, Spanish & Portuguese need to monitor & mitigate trawlers & gillnets in this region

Having watched the swifts flying over the garden all summer, I thought I would create something to remind me of them once they were gone. This piece is called "The last days of summer" and it is carved from a bronze turkey feather.
"I don’t think most people have a systems view of the natural world... but it’s all connected and when the invertebrates are declining the entire food web is going to suffer and degrade. It is a system-wide effect.”

Some great footage of #seatrout spawning on the Tyne Derwent at #Lintzford from just before Christmas. The fish passes @EnvAgencyYNE have funded and built with our partners @GMBCouncil and @TyneRiversTrust are doing their job, bringing salmon and sea trout back to spawn!
👩🔬👨🔬 #CitizenScience is transforming research & is currently blossoming but challenges of data quality & engagement exist. @natapp_uk & @Coreo_io we're dealing with these by using more 'effort-based' studies & focusing on project marketing👉 @nresearchnews https://t.co/TNYrUN9UL3
I'm helping @wiltscouncil monitor #DogFouling using the #PooperSnooper app. Here's what’s been recorded in my area so far https://t.co/SMpOs2ppju . Pick up after your #dog and remember you can put dog poo in any bin.
Huzzah we have Coreo data-collection apps built and on phones in just over 2hours!! 📲 🎉 Thanks to all for making it a great session #nbnconf18#CitizenScience#CitSci@NBNTrust @Coreo_io
Very sad to hear of the passing of John Wilson, aged 75. He was such an influential figure for an entire generation of anglers, especially through his 'Go Fishing' tv series from 1986-2002 - when fishing on tv just wasn't a thing! RIP John and thanks for everything #johnwilson
Salmon trying to pass Annacotty Weir on Lower River Mulkear this evening. Salmon can pass this weir - but it is a major challenge for them. Ornamental weir only, legacy of @opwireland flood scheme. Major fish migration barrier especially for #eels & lampreys. Needs to be removed!
BREAKING (literally!): Removal of 151m wide dam in #Estonia will free up 3300km of river. And open the way for resumption of country's biggest #salmon run. Great to see obsolete #dams coming down across #Europe https://t.co/av4bGJpDa8 … @fishmigration
