@DOGE__news the caller is certified brain dead. inflation is when the buying power of a currency decreases, and by extension, prices rising.
asking if inflation is the only reason prices are rising is like asking if dying is the leading cause of death
@weed1673@josh_uglyasf bro a 90k corvette has more power its not like ferraris are putting out 1k horsepower on the base models lmao. ferraris are usually the slowest of the exotics
@The_Xyz15@washghost1 ive seen these in the bronco world. basically they tear it down to the frame, and every single piece is either refurbished or replaced. its specifically for ultra rich dudes who wanna have an old car with the build quality of a rolls royce. not worth it but some people buy em
@LewSpears@beaglegorp yeah, im not quite at the struggle level you're at, but when i was a gym rat, it was a struggle to deadlift at 6'4 so i can't imagine how fucked it is for you. got up to 505lbs at my peak and that was absolutely brutal. i had to do a lot of core and back work to get there
@matthewrcohn@JoshEakle correct, never indicated otherwise. businesses often work in % margins not markups. so if i sell a product under the assumption that i will make certain profit margin, a 25% tarriff can have have dramatically different price increases based on my existing profit margins
@matthewrcohn@JoshEakle yes and no
if my $1 widget has a 50% profit margin, and a tariff forces me to sell it at $1.25, to maintain those 50% profit margins, i would need to charge an additional $0.25. thing brings the price up to $1.50. Now, i make $0.75, which maintains my 50% profit margins
