Unpopular opinion: Code reviews are dumb, and I can't wait for AI to take over completely.
And we are not far!
You can review any pull request today in any of the most popular languages 10x faster and with 10x more impactful results.
Shocking idea: Computers are much better at reviewing code than people. Who would have known?
I recorded this video to show you some real examples of CodeRabbit in action. It's a tool that integrates with GitHub and helps you improve the quality of your code.
But instead of relying on human reviewers, the tool analyzes the logic in your code piece by piece and gives you suggestions on how to improve it.
By the way, CodeRabbit is free for open-source projects. You can find it here:

Watch the video and let me know what you think.
This thing uses static analysis, shell commands, and a combination of AI models to analyze and provide suggestions for your entire repository.
Unassisted code reviews are on their way out.
Thanks to the @coderabbitai team for collaborating with me on this post.
When meeting people, I stopped saying “what do you do” and started saying “what do you love to do”
The difference in quality of conversation and how excited people get is astounding.
I think the design is solid. Most times when I assume I'm sharing a gem but it's not applied right away, I just think, eh I had to learn too.
It was and is my learning, the going through it myself with my own flavor, that makes it rewarding. It's my life, I get to choose.
That one of the great tragedies of life is the paradox of wisdom and age. As you become wiser about life and the world, you have less time to apply it yourself. So you try to pass it down, but some things just can't be heard in youth. It only comes through the experience of living. And then the cycle repeats: you remember that someone tried to give you some gems and you didn't listen, so you try to do the same. It's a somewhat cruel time loop of sorts, and I ponder over the design sometimes.
Grieving experiences that are not quite my own but are entirely too relatable, is always an interesting experience. I'll casually hold space for someone to process emotional trauma and then be wondering why I'm sad a day or two later lol
I can’t believe that at 6yo, we’re already having THAT talk. This is a different world than the one I grew up in.
Yes, my son just walked me through emergency protocol for what to do if he accidentally cloned himself…how I’d know which is the real him & how to get rid of the fakes 😣
Part of the goal in my talks is to teach technical concepts in a way that makes it easy for anyone at any level to understand…
Another part is to get y’all to watch my favorite @netflix shows too so I can gossip about them with you 😂
Huge win for me! 👑
