LANNA's own STEM Coordinator Ms. Ashley was invited to judge the VEX IQ National Robotics Competition at St. Andrew's International School in Bangkok. Ms. Ashley has gained knowledge and made connections to VEX schools in Thailand in support of LANNA's Robotics Program.

Learning about different artistic techniques was the focus of today's Nursery unit lesson at #LANNA.The children practiced painting with marbles and experimented with motion and colours as part of 'Imagine That' #IEYC unit.

🏆💻And the results are IN! A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the students in year 7I at #LANNASecondary for placing 7th in the Codementum Hour of Code global competition which took place during #ComputerScienceEducationWeek in December! 🎉

Reception students went on a bug hunt to catch minibeasts for the Entry Point of our IEYC ‘The Brilliant Bug Ball’ unit. They found caterpillars, ladybirds, snails and worms! They also learnt what minibeasts need to live and how to handle them safely and carefully.

#LANNA Year 6 students are straight in the lab on our return to school as we investigate how water temperature affects the speed of dissolving. Control variables, independent variables, dependent variables… and a whole lot of fun as part of our IPC unit "Making New Materials."
