Off-duty NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes was clearing out his trunk in the Bronx Friday afternoon when two guys tried to rob him.

They stabbed him seven times. He lived. Got out of the hospital Monday.

The two they just pulled out of a basement in Massachusetts are D’Angelo Caraballo and Sneider Mejia. Both from the Dominican Republic. Both here illegally. Both let in under Biden. Both already had records in New York.

DHS said sanctuary politicians refused to hand them to ICE, so they got released. Then they stabbed a cop.

Democrats in New York did this. Mamdani and Hochul won’t work with ICE, and a detective paid for it in blood.

Back the badge. Deport them.

Thursday, ICE moved to arrest him in Marble Hill. ICE says he rammed their vehicles and drove at officers. They shot him. He lived. A 5-year-old in the back seat was not hurt.

Mamdani’s response: a nighttime press conference. Two hours on the phone with Trump trying to get him released. Called ICE “rotten to its core.” Said abolish it. Called Belgal a New Yorker.

A citizen bled on a Bronx sidewalk and got a visit. An illegal with a record got the mayor begging the President to set him free. Mamdani is clear what his priorities are and it’s not real New Yorkers.
