Trump: "Please right your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States. That loves us so much he can't even breath. That I will go out with my family, my friends, I'll do it any way -- I don't care if I'm registered or not, I'm going to try to cheat like hell like they do ... "
This will be a long thread. Please stick with it.
The Miami Herald, one of the premier legacy newspapers in America, laid off or wrote off more than 30 positions today – well over one-third of its editorial staff. The cuts include crucial accountability beats. (1)
He's older now, but people forget, Bill Clinton loved picking on conservatives and right-wing media consistently. He hunted them for sport and did it with a smile on his face and that Southern drawl.
🚨 BREAKING:
Collins: "If someone was paying $2.98 a gallon before the war and now pays $4.53, telling them 'that's life' may not make them feel better."
Jim Jordan: "Those are your words, not mine."
Collins: "You just said that. I quoted you."
Morons made a video to "celebrate workers" for Labor Day and instead of showing workers it’s just an automated manufacturing plant that replaced all the workers smh
More evidence that the president of the United States is psychotic. He’s been called out on this lie for many years. Once upon a time he knew he was bullshitting. But he has convinced himself of it now, as he has with all of the other fantasies with which he today soothes his fragile ego and that the world watches and listens to every day.
That’s the end stage of narcissistic sociopathy, of malignant narcissism. He’s rapidly decompensating into psychosis, and it’s accelerating.
Are we really still going to entrust him with the nuclear codes?
Is the media still not going to talk about the president’s depleted mental health?
Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."
Third worldification of the United States is nearly complete, we’ve reached dictator’s child ostentatiously showcasing wealth her family embezzled from the country while the unwashed masses struggle phase
House Speaker Mike Johnson says he doesn’t understand Thomas Massie’s 'obsession' with bringing justice to the children Epstein sex trafficked.
We are a broken nation.
The Russians are preparing to launch 50 ballistic missiles at Ukraine — a strike that could kill dozens of Ukrainian children tomorrow.
Ukraine is begging to BUY — with its own money — Patriot interceptors to defend its cities and its people.
Meanwhile, Trump is fighting Canada with cartoons.
That is where we are.
Launching a national investigation to show that non-citizen voting is rigging national elections, and then having the FBI excitedly announce (drumroll please...) *2* non-citizens who may have voted may (unwittingly) be the best possible endorsement of our election security.
I really thought this was a fake tweet from Trump.
He’s bragging about profiting off the presidency and his followers are clapping like obedient seals.
Pathetic.
One thing to keep in mind about the #Witkoff#Kushner motorcade in Moscow: They are being driven to & from the Kremlin in Aurus limousines- specially built for Russian leaders. Witkoff & Kushner are not in U.S. Embassy vehicles. Field day for Russian intelligence….
The law here is not ambiguous. Federal statute makes it a felony, up to five years, for a federal official to keep armed men at a polling place, with exactly one exception, repelling armed enemies of the United States. DOJ's own guidance has read that so strictly that unarmed FBI agents cannot investigate inside a polling place on Election Day and armed deputy marshals cannot even be stationed outside one. Mullin is now describing a different justification, serving warrants, that does not fit that exception at all.
This is not a new idea from Trump world. Steve Bannon said in February we're going to have ICE surround the polls in November. A dozen senators warned Mullin, Blanche and Hegseth by letter in July that this would be illegal. Blanche has repeatedly refused to rule it out, once asking at CPAC why anyone would object to sending ICE officers to polling places. Sen. Slotkin's own rebuttal during Mullin's confirmation hearing stands: armed federal agents were not stationed at polls during World War II or the War on Terror.
Steve Witkoff to Putin: "when we retire, we'll have all these incredible stories and memories, and yours will be right at the top of it all."
This to a man launching ballistic missiles at maternity hospitals and stealing Ukrainian children en masse. Humiliating bootlicking.
The U.S. House will be in session only 4 full days from July 24th to November 8th.
That’s 100 paid days off versus 4 full workings days plus 4 travel (half) days.
Meanwhile TRUMP says YOU have too many holidays.
Nine days ago RFK Jr. said Pennsylvania's measles deaths may have been "altogether fabricated." Yesterday Reuters reported he asked the CDC director to pull them from the national count, and she did. This morning the Lancaster County coroner, the same one Kennedy has been citing, confirmed a 6-week-old girl died of measles. Kennedy's own post acknowledges the coroner "publicly stated that measles caused" her death.
His response is that she had a genetic condition and that infants with it "typically live only about six months."
She was six weeks old, too young for MMR, so her protection was the people around her. That is the entire case for MMR, and he's citing it to explain why the CDC death count still says zero.
He's also now pointing to NCHS death records, which can take months. The CDC measles count has always come from state reports, not NCHS records. Last year's deaths in Texas and New Mexico were counted that way. The rules changed for one state after he picked a fight with its governor.
We're past 3,100 measles cases this year, the most since 1991. Pennsylvania has 577. A baby who couldn't be vaccinated died of a disease we eliminated in 2000, and the HHS Secretary is arguing about whether she counts.
A company in Riga, Latvia is paying a 300,000 dollar monthly budget to overseas contractors, told explicitly to hide their location with US proxy servers, to post clips designed to look like ordinary Americans spontaneously praising the GOP. The campaign's own instructions state the goal in writing: so that republican win in USA. No disclosure that the poster was paid, no disclosure it is coordinated. The money trail traces to Blake Wynn, 26, nephew of mega donor Steve Wynn, whose company's employees uploaded the campaign's source videos.
Wynn has said he regularly talks to FBI Director Kash Patel, sat next to Trump on Election Night 2024, and was close with Charlie Kirk. The campaign's own banned topics list is its own tell, no Jan 6 videos, no Trump family crypto, no RFK Jr, careful image management dressed up as spontaneous grassroots enthusiasm. When the Atlantic's reporter contacted everyone involved, the campaign folders and Discord listings started disappearing within a day.
