Fascinating conversation today about the inherent challenges in dealing with drug coverage for rare diseases because:

1) No, we don't do this every day.

2) No, these aren't routine decisions made for relatively common conditions for which there are large bodies of evidence.

I think it would have been better for the government to communicate the Batten disease issue this way initially. Too bad it didn't.
