@cococorals Precisely. The problem isn't the fanservice, it's that these new designs lack any sort of direction, theme, or personality to them. They're just sexy for the sake of being sexy with no thought put behind it. Which makes them bland instead.
@carlos_simarra@lesbiscara Which would be fine, if Columbina was more passive and awkward when hanging out with the girls. But this animation clearly shows her initiating almost every interaction. She was going out of her way to be with Sandrone yet we're supposed to believe she didn't feel close to her?
@lesbiscara I don't want to get in a long debate about this but it really isn't limited to just the Fatui. They're inconsistent all the damn time and it's only gotten worse over the years. So many times GI hints/implies something and then either forgets it or changes their mind.
@magnetar_cube This whole Columbina situation reminds me of Ganyu's quest where Ganyu went on about how "Liyue was rejecting her because she's an adeptus" but literally nobody did and instead had nothing but praises for her. So Ganyu just came across as an idiot at best.
@Gurbur_cabhat A lot of Monster Hunter fans have the same problem that Souls fans have, where in their heads these games are purely boss rushes and nothing else.
@stxrfaced@teyvattabloid Also all of HSR's endgame modes let you brute force it with the characters/teams that aren't being shilled that cycle if you want. With Genshin you can't really do that anymore because of how reaction specific a lot of the bosses are.
@teyvattabloid This could very easily be fixed by not restricting what characters you can use by element. Just make it so only the buffs are specific to certain elements/reactions and let people try to brute force it with their other characters if they want.
@phaelysia Yeah, if anything Cipher is jealous of ALL the other CH because they can openly display their heroism while the very nature of her powers means she has to pretend that she didn't do the things she did.
@hubbowastaken Oh absolutely. A better example I guess would be the Stellerons and how we the players assumed they were made by Destruction because that's what the characters had falsely assumed as well. Likewise the Paths and what they represent might not be as literal as we've assumed.
@hubbowastaken Something we need to keep in mind is that HSR has a lot of unreliable narrators. Our understanding of the Paths and Aeons primarily comes from Herta, who does not fully understand them herself. Ampho simulates the Paths, so it might actually be a more accurate view on them.
@castl4ea Yesn't? In every cycle no matter how it deviates she's always born from Pollux dying in Styxia and taken in by the queen. So in a technical sense yes. In the original Flame-Chase she was a part of, no idea.
