The festive season comes with excitement and merry-making as people get time off their busy schedules to unwind and end the year in style.

In the midst of #Christmas and #NewYear festivities, lets not drop our guard as criminal elements may take advantage to commit crimes.

Kenyans need to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to police for action.

Let's remember that security starts with you hence always scan environment for any security threats to enable you act to be safe and support other people's safety as well.

In order to guarantee our safety and protect our properties, we need to be part of #NyumbaKumi and other Neighbourhood Watch Forums to support sharing information on unusual activities in our areas with security agencies for action.

We need to cooperate with police officers and security guards manning roads, places of worship, beaches, shopping malls, public transport terminuses and entertainment joints to guarantee our security.

And more importantly, lets observe traffic rules by avoiding drink- driving, speeding and using mobile phone while driving for safety of all road users.

Security agencies are on high alert during the festive season to deter criminal activities.
