Putin: "Challenges are temporary, Russia is eternal"
Austro-Hungarian Empire motto: Indivisibiliter ac inseparabiliter (Latin for "Indivisibly and inseparably")
Hitler: Nazi Germany will be a "Thousand year reich"
Russia will soon join the other two in the dustbin of history.
STUBB: I would prefer, in the long run, to see Ukraine in NATO. I mean, what are the biggest conventional militaries in Europe right now? They're Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, and Finland. Should we not use this? And we have to understand that the Russian threat is not going away.

When Lithuania was defending her independence from Moscow, we were asked by Western powers to "pause" our struggle, to protect russia from collapse. If we had listened, our country might not exist today. Sometimes fighting is the only way to win.
Why has it taken so long for the world to recognize that Russia is intent on committing genocide in Ukraine?
As @TimothyDSnyder explained, Russia’s wide-reaching & effective worldwide propaganda apparatus is unique among historical perpetrators of genocide.
Western policy-makers are so out-of-touch with reality then think a ceasefire consists of announcing a ceasefire.
Russian terrorists play upon the West's stupidity. They stage "Mainila incident" attacks – claiming the defenders fired first – and continue offensive operations.
💬 "Sometimes it feels we, as the West, we're not in this war to win, we're in it to manage. (...) I wish we would be in this war to win," says Lithuanian FM Gabrielius Landsbergis.
Some people have such a sick worldview that they think that if Ukraine stops defending itself, the war will end, not understanding that then Ukraine will perish, and the war will expand to their countries.
The war will end only after a complete victory over Russia! The war began with an attack by Russia! The war can only end with the elimination of the attacker!
And the sooner people, especially politicians, understand this, the more chances the world will have to survive and neutralize the enemy, before it expands to the full-scale level of World War 3.

⚡️ Zelenskyy: Russia has launched 800 guided aerial bombs, around 460 strike drones, and over 20 missiles of various types against Ukraine last week alone.
I was one of those who saw Bucha after it was liberated from Russia.
I organized for Western and global media to visit Bucha right away. Thanks to these journalists, the world found out the truth about Russia's war crimes - no matter how hard Russia tried to deny it afterwards.
I will never forget the horrible smell of the bodies of the poor people who were killed by the Russians. I will always remember the stories of those who survived occupation.
I was there when the mass burial of Ukrainians in liberated Izium was exhumed. I talked to the people who survived Russian occupation there.
Anyone who has ever seen this horror, realizes what will happen to Ukrainian cities and villages if Russia captures them. And that is why we fight so desperately and do anything we can so that Russians don't come to our homes.
With Scholz still blocking Ukraine's NATO membership and fantasizing about neutrality as a solution, I feel like re-posting my piece from 2023.
It is today’s Finland—not that of the Cold War era—that provides the best possible model for Kyiv.
