We can and we will unless and until we all agree on a baseline of what's acceptable and what's not acceptable irrespective of political party or politicians.
When last I was in Lagos there was dirt everywhere, uncollected and everyone seemed fine with it.
Well this is the result.
When people want things to change and they want it badly, change will happen.
Actively trying to import a car to Nigeria and here are my lessons.
You basically have two routes: the official way and the "informal" way. Both have their pros and cons, but choosing the wrong one can cost you millions.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how Nigerian Customs actually works
no the long form text.
just note the following:
1. A dominant player selling below cost price to force competitors out of the market is predatory and wrong. the end game is to hike prices after the market is all yours.
When the wife of the sitting president of the most populous black nation on earth and one of the four anchor powers of the African continent touts “Akara frying & Corn roasting” as survival mechanisms during a record cost of living crisis, then the nation’s statecraft is faulty.
You have to be extremely wicked to tell people to be selling akara and roasted corn in 2026, especially when that message is coming from the First Lady.
even if you add up every single penalty ronaldo took across all six of his world cups, it still wouldn’t reach the number messi took in just the 2022 world cup 💀
Meanwhile people who should know better are intentionally ignoring this obvious fact and indulging in their own public intellectual solipsisms by blaming folks who are just victims of a ruthless power broker who has now schemed his way to carrying out state capture on Nigeria.
One of the maddest transfer sagas I’ve ever seen.
Madrid had a €9m buy-back on Nico Paz.
He becomes one of the hottest young players in Europe, so they activate it.
Fair enough.
But Paz wants Como.
Como want Paz.
So the reported solution is insane:
Madrid buy him back for €9m.
Como buy him back permanently for around €60m.
But Madrid keep a future buy-back clause at around €80m.
So Madrid turn a €9m clause into a €60m deal, bank a massive profit, keep the “bring him home later” button, Como get more control, and Paz stays where he wants to play for now.
If he keeps developing, Madrid can still bring him back.
If he doesn’t, they don’t activate it and they’ve already cashed in.
Absolutely outrageous business. #RMCF #Como #Paz #Transfernews
Now imagine a competing quote with another installer using just the aluminium profiles that cost like 30 to 50k🤣. In Nigeria its a combination of poverty and under appreciation of excellence.
Even the standard roof mount accessories are expensive. If your installation is above 3m I suggest it, if its below we just use aluminuim profiles. Just the rails, L foot and other accessories for 4 panels can cost as much as 140k.
Standard groundmount(car port) accessories cost money sha. Imagine tellin a customer pay 2m for only the car port. It will fit at most 12 panels which will probably not cost as much. Groundmount and roof installs have their places sha. Its an engineering and financial decision.
Be a protagonist.
Don’t resign to fate.
Play beyond the electoral cycles; play the long game by getting involved in active competitive politics.
Get a new party registered in stealth-mode or indulge in party entryism of one if the aforesaid fails.
Doing nothing is dangerous!
