I tweet only about Lithium. This is what I know. My investments are in Lithium companies. DYOR and don’t follow my advices. I am not making money with Twitter.
It's amazing to continue the original idea to invest $2.5B in Rincon after paying $6.7B for Arcadium, in production and with several projects in Olaroz & Hombre Muerto to double its capacity for less than Rincon investment.
Do you know who will be the next CEO / MD of the new Rio Tinto Lithium Business? Guess.....
Déjà vu
It's somebody who knows ARG very well, and had an important / critical role during the $ALTM merger.
$ALTM Years ago Rio Tinto paid $600M per Rincon Project (medium low potential). Now it's offering $4B to $6B per Arcadium (in production).
Make your own conclusions.
@cristiannmillo Exclusive: Rio Tinto in talks to buy lithium miner Arcadium, sources say | Reuters Parece que RT va invertir mucho mas; entre USD4 a 6 Billion comprando casi toda la producción hoy de litio en ARG. Ver Reuters.
@PerseusLtd If you go to read my old tweets 2021 & 2022 you can find some comments about it. I mentioned $ALLI and $GW1 as the two companies with the higher upside in terms of Li share price considering both are in early stages of development.
MYOR
Eramet Li project in Salta; started exploring in 2010; expected production 2025; 15 yrs
$LAC, Cauchari, started exploring in 2009; production 2023; 13 yrs
Zijin (former $NLC), 3Q Li project, from 2016 to expected production 2025; 9 yrs
$AKE, Olaroz, from 2008 to 2015; 7 yrs
Remember this Dec 2021 tweet. Well, today Tecpetrol (an oil company in ARG) made an offer to take over https://t.co/kzRrjS8KXm (Alpha Li Co.)
It was refused.
In this line another ARG oil Co, Pan American Energy is evaluating several Li projects.
There are several Li projects in ARG with different levels of development
I think it will all depend on the new players interested in them. My view is that chemical and energy Co's far from lithium today will start seeing friendly what is happening with Li.
New wave of movements
@sdmoores Nothing changed in Bolivia and nothing will change in the near future. The nationalism continues as the main culture in the country, mainly in the politician's mind.
I just saw the last $LAC tweet announcing the Cauchari startup will be during 1st half 2023. I have been predicting this for long time. Just make a revision of my tweets to know the truth.
$LAC is hiding things all the time. Stupid strategy. Better to show the reality.
Do you consider my last tweet was a fake news???
I haven't read anything from $LAC denying my tweet. It's like they can not tell the truth.
I continue being in contact with several sources in Jujuy confirming the start up of the factory during 2022 is a miracle. It's impossible.
⛏️🇦🇷 Comienza la carrera por el dominio mundial de la minería de litio. El siguiente gráfico animado muestra los principales países productores de litio del mundo desde 2012 y pronostica los ganadores en la carrera durante la próxima década:

In the $ORE deal, Toyota put $4M for funding Olaroz DFS with a call option of 25% of the project (valued at the NPV).
Now NIO put circa $8M (AU$ 12M) for 12% of GW1, + a call option for 20 / 40% of the project at $40M / $80M
Which one do you consider is better deal? and for whom?
Doing some history, I find many similarities between the 2010 agreement between Orocobre and Toyota, with the recent one between $GW1 and NIO.
But it is worth mentioning that there are also many differences.
It is up to each one to assume that history can repeat itself.
