Plateau State Police Commissioner Bassey Ewah has officially debunked posts detailing a fresh ethnic massacre of commuters in Mangu LGA.
Local law enforcement also verified that the video is recycled footage from a 2025 tragedy being intentionally re-uploaded to incite fresh religious riots.

There’s a lot of talk about Nigeria’s "missing" subsidies, and a recent claim suggests that both petrol and electricity subsidies are gone, but the math does not add up.
There is a photo going around claiming a Hisbah official now has a Police ADC and that Nigeria is no longer a secular state. This is a lie. The person in that photo is the Governor of Sokoto State.
@xevekiah@DubawaFacts recently spoke to some victims, many of them revealed that they got the stitch without their consent and I was shocked.
How can a decision be made about your body without your knowledge?
You should read the report here: https://t.co/P6qsCu4HXn
Imagine waking up after childbirth to a doctor saying, “I made it tighter for your husband.”
This is the reality of many Nigerian women.
The “husband stitch” is an extra stitch after delivery meant to tighten the vaginal opening. It is not medically approved and, in some cases, is done without a woman’s knowledge or consent.
It’s often explained as something that improves sexual pleasure for partners, but what does that mean for the woman healing, in pain, and trusting the system meant to care for her?

A rainstorm yesterday damaged the newly built multibillion-naira Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja, tearing off parts of the roof. Flying debris also hit vehicles along the highway.
In February, we alerted the government to collapsing sections of the terminal's roof. Some work was carried out, but it proved insufficient to prevent further damage.
Now, while the ones built are already collapsing, another N142 billion was recently approved for more bus terminals.
Taking a cue from yesterday’s outing, Day 2 of the workshop has been nothing short of impactful thus far!
While leading the talk on conflict-sensitive reporting, Taiwo Hassan (@Hazzanjustice) said that conflict patterns may differ across regions, from the Northeast to parts of Southwest Nigeria, but the underlying reality remains the same: what people know about these conflicts is largely shaped by the media, and that places journalists at the centre of both the problem and the solution.
In the subsequent session, panellists stressed that at some point, journalists must decide what they stand for, because the profession demands clarity, not just in writing, but in purpose, and those who treat it casually may survive for a while but rarely last.
Furthermore, speaking on audience engagement and distribution platforms, Lateef Sani (@Lateefsanni_) emphasised some key issues confronting the journalism profession, like declining newsrooms, limited resources, the rapid rise of social media, and how information now moves faster than ever. He pressed on the importance of understanding how information flows, how audiences engage, and how platforms work and use that insight to create a workflow that is consistent, strategic, and able to cut through the noise leading to impact.

While Osun State is riddled with poor public infrastructure, like the dilapidated Igbajo Customary Court, Governor @AAdeleke_01 plans to spend over N11 billion on travel and transport, and another N4.6 billion on refreshment and meals. We must not continue like this!

It’s hard not to feel angry reading this.
All that billion, yet the farmers live in harsh conditions, without even the basics. Promises must mean something, abi?
Well done @ColePraise of @DubawaFacts 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾. This is amazing work!
What happened to Kaduna’s N10bn dairy project?
In 2020, the Kaduna State government under Nasir El-Rufai's (@elrufai) administration launched the Damau household milk project, a ₦10.5bn plan to empower 1,000 families, boost dairy production, and reduce farmer-herder clashes. More promises followed in 2023.
Today, farmers are still waiting; their hopes are fading, while the billions remain unaccounted for.
