“As most are already made aware digger is still missing.
since the gate was left opened carelessly by maintenance workers.
I relive this nightmare in my head every single day.
Did he ever make it out of #Alloa that night? Did he ever cross the river Devon? Did someone see his old greying face and decide to let him in? Is he safe and warm? Is he still waiting to be found? Did he try to get home? Does he miss us as much as we miss him?
If only the gate had been checked before letting him out, if only the maintenance workers took that extra Caution, if only we reacted quicker, if only we had had the right knowledge back then that we do now, if only he knew how desperate we are to find him.
So many questions and so many “if only’s”.
If i knew that morning would have been the last time I ever saw him again I would’ve held him so much tighter.💔
Our hearts are broken, I cry every single day for him and the unanswered questions are slowly eating me up.
My silent life sentence.
I hope you know I’ll look for you forever🐾

Delilah has been very shy since coming into our kennels and is finding the loudness of kennel life a bit overwhelming. She can walk nicely on the lead and is enjoying her walks sniffing all the wildlife. She will need lots of slow socialising with other dogs and will currently be best suited to being the only pet in the home. Delilah is still finding her feet here at last chance but is very affectionate. She will walk into you with her head and stand there waiting for a cuddle.

She is a Patterdale cross and is looking for a home who know and love Terriers and can offer her a relatively active lifestyle even though she’s a senior! Megan is a little star who LOVES to play with her toys, loves her food, loves her walks and loves to hop up onto your knee for a cuddle! She is totally clean in her kennel, so appears to be housetrained.
She hasn’t shown much interest in other dogs so far – no aggression at all, but equally hasn’t been particularly interested in interacting, so may be happiest as the only dog, or with a calm dog who will be independent of her. She isn’t cat tested.
Megan would suit a child free home. She would love a quiet (ish), active retirement home with access to a secure garden. Megan’s little quirk is that she will sometimes have a bark at cars on her walks, so she’d love to live in a more rural/countryside home away from busy traffic if possible!
She has sadly been returned into our care as she isn’t a good traveller and stresses in the car (barks/is unsettled – she is not carsick). She really is such a fab little lady with so much personality – we think she’s a Terrier lovers dream and would take her home ourselves if we had the room!

A heavily pregnant Spaniel found tied to a tree and left for dead “in the middle of nowhere” is lucky to have survived along with her pups.
She was discovered by chance in woods near Wye by a couple walking their dog and taken to an animal charity where she gave birth just three days later.
Eight of her nine pups survived and they and mum are now being cared for at the Lord Whisky Sanctuary at Stelling Minnis near Canterbury.
Mrs Todd says this year has been the worst in her memory for dogs being abandoned or brought into the sanctuary which now has about 30 needing homes.
These pups will all need good homes and ideally we’d like them to go in pairs.

“They are almost six weeks old now and will need vaccinating but will be ready for new owners very soon.

“We have homes for the two girls but the six boys are available and we want one to go with Faith who has been a wonderful mum.”
