@MaraGrimm8@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 Listening and making sure everyone’s voice is head plays a huge role! I like how you mentioned that. I also believe that events that are held for the community to attend will build a stronger community of acceptance!
@ElizabethMenc18@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 Positive relationships can help determine or not the students want to learn. It also allows the student to be comfortable with talking to their teacher if they know they have created a strong bond with them. Good job! #EDEL5200
@Stephan57524108@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 I really like how you stated in the good times and the difficult times. Sometimes, listening to our students can help resolve many situations and can definitely help them in their learning journey! Great job.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 We can be advocates for students by listening to them so that we can fully understand where they are coming for. We can also support our students by helping them reach their goals for the year and to help them continue to be successful. #EDEL5200
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 We can work together by communicating with other fellow teachers, students, and staff members. I truly believe when a community becomes a team, nothing is impossible to conquer for the success of the students. We can build a community of acceptance by being inviting to everyone.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1 To have empathy means to understand students and to be there for them. This can vary when trying to help students learn. I think it is very important I connect with students on another level in which they feel comfortable through the whole year. #EDEL5200
@Lifewith_paulaG@WrightMath314@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 I like how you mentioned that the processing of a problem is more important than the memorization. This is extremely important because students should be able to explain how they came up with the answer.
@ElizabethMenc18@WrightMath314@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 I like how you mentioned that students are limited when showing their true abilities. This is definitely something I can agree too because students will feel not as confident when they are being timed. They are more focused on if they are able to finish the test.
@josieHerrera15@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler I like how you mentioned that the variety of objects can be used. Manipulative are great way to enhance learning and allows the students to get a visual representation! Great job!
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 An alternative to a timed math test could be administering a game with the whole class. This will allow them to feel that they have support from one another. It is less pressure for everyone. For instance, using kahoot would be beneficial.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 Some reasons for math anxiety could be because of timed assessments, feeling of being alone, and fear of being embarrassed. When students do not have the support that they need, they will feel anxious to do the work. Especially, when math can be very difficult.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 The memorization of math facts is “unnecessary and damaging” because it does not allow the students to understand how they came to the conclusion of that answer. Since math can be challenging, students should always be able to explain their work.
Now that I have created a newsletter with the help of https://t.co/bv98lftDe7, I am realizing that there is so many helpful tools that are out there! I am so glad I have the chance to take the class EDTE 4200. Excited to learn more things!! #csubedte4200#CSUBTED

@Jhernandez308 @Tech_Buddha@csubted That is a great point! Once a student knows how to correctly use technology for the better, the more they will learn. @Tech_Buddha#CSUBTED
A4) Students can create websites and slides, which can help them advance their skills. The more they practice, the better they will become. They can also use PowerPoints that they make to give important presentations among a variety of schools. @Tech_Buddha#CSUBTED
