Io Saturnalia!
For ancient Romans, the modern month of December was marked by the Saturnalia – a festival that honoured the god Saturn.
Held from 17–23 December of the Julian calendar, the holiday itself began with a sacrifice at the Temple of Saturn in the Forum of Rome.

Another triumph for Mark McKenna! Return to Uluru looks deep into the heart of the continent. McKenna sees darkness, but also light, in the changing relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. A perfect @naidocweek read. @UsydSOPHI @RAHS_News@AustHistAssoc
