Life-long wonderer. Proudly support G4 inquirers every day. Ed. D. Candidate at UCalgary focused on how students experience #studentagency at school. she/her

@mrshowell24@TheresaStager So what looks like professional sharing is just clickbait advertising for you to monetize? This is a little shady, in my opinion.
Does this feel true in your context? Is it consistently true across all admin in your building? Even one admin who doesnโt view their role in this way has a significant impact on the place of teacher/parent/student voice in a school. https://t.co/hBYAaGV1t2
@mburnsmath And are we just assuming that, or did he explain it somehow? How can we be sure we aren't just mapping our understanding onto children's work and assuming their understanding is solid and replicable?
@igeeducators I think that it would be more accurate to refer to them as summative evaluations. I haven't ever seen much 'summative assessment' evidence used for much else in elementary. I've never seen it used for assessment purposes in MS/HS.
@kristenhowerton Anything impermanent, as soon as they have their own money to pay. Anything permanent (tattoos, piercings that leave visible scars, ear stretching), 18.
@kristenhowerton I disagree with the opinion that 'partner' is appropriation. I have used this for years and will continue to do so as an intentional move to disrupt binary conceptualizations of gender.
@natalielouis13 I just listened to your closing keynote. Loved it. Hilarious and wise as promised. Love the idea of identity conferences and interested in using for my Ed.D. study. Has anyone written about these that I could follow up on?
@DavidDidau So the issue is mandatory use of someone else's slides, not PPT on its own. The tool is not the issue; the use of PPT to 'teacher-proof' curriculum to guarantee alignment is. #teacheragency
I've been thinking that maybe agency is one piece of evidence that inquiry is happening in classrooms. Identifying evidence that agency is present is more nebulous. What makes you say that agency is happening in your classroom?
