@NurseAliO Yeah Charitable funds Ali, but check first with the uni if they will take self funders. When I applied for mine they only had a few allocated spaces for self funders (unless of course you already have a place then forget what I said!)
The ‘ED journey’ is pretty stressful. Sadly we often don’t get to the destination. Despite that ‘the company’ is always what keeps us going #TeamEDRock#Wellbeing
@Hols_cat Yeah I understand, but those were all processes that are already in place at the uni so you might have ammunition if needed but the blogs etc are a good exercise for group work etc if not
@Hols_cat Look at your assessment process was well, you often don’t learn by submitting countless essays, I had to submit blogs, posters, complete OSCEs and exams as well as write essays all these also help you to become a more dynamic learner! I’m going to stop talking now 😂
@Hols_cat I would also put out an anonymous survey to all staff asking what they would want (both people that have done it in the past and people that want to do it!)
@Hols_cat To rehab and discharge. Skills such as ECG recognition, art line waveform and capnography interpretation and not just relying on the numbers. TRANSFER SIM 🙂, touch on specialist ICU management (neuro/ burns/ cardiac), use of specialist speakers that are passionate!
@Hols_cat Pathophysiology and underlying EBP to help understand why we do what we do! Simulation is a must, advanced assessment skills. How to auscultate a chest properly, when and how often you should do it etc. Understanding the entire critical care journey as a patient (from admission
