What would a come back look like @ededucate
For me we might have to totally relaunch and change the whole way we do things except the principle. ED NURSE EDUCATION!
Thoughts? @SisterScrappy@drsalwamalik
@ejlloyd91 Find leadership opportunities that don’t cost, find a small thing you can do in the felt to make things better for staff. That’s real leadership.
Just putting this out there! Are there folks out there who need a project? As you will have noticed we haven’t exactly been delivering on the content side .. we just don’t have the capacity. Does anyone fancy taking this on.. pushing us into background and owning it for a bit!
Yesterday on shift in ED- 18hours to offload from ambulances, >70 hour (!) wait for admission to wards. No facilities for washing/warm food/dignity. I have taken to asking families to feed their relatives. It has never been this bad. #Moralinjury#burnout#moralexhaustion
@MartinBromiley Horrible case but an X-ray is not the definitive test. The sad reason he died is that AD was not thought to be the case, if it was bloods and CTa are the correct tests. He is young and sadly I think a lot of times this might be missed?
Self-extrication should be considered as the primary route of egress for trapped patients of all ages.... next up: our Delphi work which defines those that can be helped by self-extrication, with: @NFCC_FireChiefs@ParamedicsUK@_ukro@FPHCEd@ResearchPHOTON &NHRAF
This could well be the answer to so many problems in EM. We have to train and look after our whole workforce. A well trained and supported nursing workforce is the back bone of the ED Team.
Well done to the team @FacEmergNurse for releasing such an exciting opportunity.

@NurseAliO @ashleighlowther Absolutely mate, all of our stuff is linked to a set competency so if staff can show evidence of having read blog/listened etc then it can be attached to that section and signed off.
