When I think about him now, I also think about how, generally, I was often fascinated by people who are so precise in their call-outs of society.

But as I get older I am more interested in people who demonstrate unusual integrity. And if I’ve learned anything, it’s that practicing an unusual level of integrity is rarer and more precious than the ability to make clever observations about hypocrisy - and I used to think those things were more correlated than I now suspect they are.
