Maybe I’m old fashioned, but it seems like the wife of a sitting Supreme Court Justice raising over half a million dollars to wage a culture war on half the country should be the leading story everywhere.

Doctors at a major US insurance company deny tens of thousands of claims a month without even looking at patients’ files.
“We literally click & submit,” a former Cigna doctor told @ProPublica & @Capitol_Forum. “It takes all of 10 seconds to do 50 at a time.”
The inside story 🧵

In spring cleaning mode? Don't forget to vacuum your smoke alarms! #DYK that airborne dust, contaminants and 🕷️'s can interfere w/ a smoke alarm’s ability to detect smoke? They can also be the cause of false alarms. (you know--those 3 am wake up calls?) #SpringCleaning#homedecor

In the 1980s when I was mayor of Burlington, CEOs made 42x more.
In 2000, when I was in the House, CEOs made about 120x more.
Today, they're making almost 400x more.
Unacceptable.

I have heard from many constituents who are concerned about public safety in our community. That is why I am hosting a Public Safety Town Hall on Wednesday, March 22 at 7PM at the Upcounty Regional Services Center. I will be joined by representatives from the MCPD. See you then!
1 day from the release of my recommended operating budget for FY24 and plan for projects through 2029. This budget is very supportive of the education requests made by @MCPS and will also support community health, public safety, affordable housing, and fighting climate change.
