@BradfemlyWalsh Phones are mostly stolen on the street! When people are standing on the road edge or walking with it out. Tell him to stand facing a building rather than outwards when using it and not to put it in his bag. If want directions, use earphones to listen to it. I carry mine in my bra
@Cptundercracker@MrsMeliaHistory@SandyofSuffolk Some schools are putting the 5 inset days together so parents can benefit from a cheaper term time holiday. Is that still bad? The teacher won’t be on their jollies but parents and pupils might be!
@Cptundercracker@MrsMeliaHistory@SandyofSuffolk Yes we know we have2work the weekends,evenings-we do it unpaid! But our holidays we want to try to keep as holidays, even though lots still go into school to do work.
Inset days aren’t jollies they are training days. You would like a random Weds in March for an inset day instead?
@Cptundercracker@MrsMeliaHistory@SandyofSuffolk Schools aren’t childcare! You’d still have to find the 5 extra days of ‘child care’ regardless when the inset days are. No one is going to work for free, especially when teachers already worked for free in the evening and weekends! Inset days aren’t a jolly, far from it!
@Cptundercracker@SandyofSuffolk The holidays are unpaid leave! So when would you like staff to be paediatric first aid trained? Keep up to date with the latest safeguarding info, learn best practices???
@SteveHowell30@ShakinthatChalk I think it’s great,Notts have done it for years. Helps school new starters in their foundation year to not get so exhausted in their first term and families can have a cheap holiday in October rather than the busy and expensive summer holidays. October can be a nice time in U.K.
@BenKentish They should, but at the moment we are just teaching them to pass tests and exams. Even at 5 year olds it’s death by PowerPoint.
But they aren’t workers now, as our levels of NEETs show
@bbc5live My aunty get free care as she was sectioned under the MCA due to dementia induced psychosis. No POA but we want her care to be paid via her savings she has more than enough to pay for her care for several years. But her savings are just increasing. A % on the estate sounds fair.
@PolitlcsUK I love for kids nationwide to have free travel like London with a zip like card! This would help a lot of families for school travel, clubs and hobbies.
@ClassChartsPS@adam__1098 How do you support a child who is entitled &rather than respectfully taking one bottle of water like his peers, they take 2 & then rather than own up to what he’s done, he runs off! And mum thinks school is in the wrong for the behaviour point and detention so they are over 11!
