@jqueryquite @DrSarteschi No. In Ontario you can do what ever you please. No one checks in.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@GambyVp We take kids who are just finished a year or two of University, grandmas, anyone with a crc and a can-do attitude. (can - do attitude is optional)

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@1970Baby1 @Sflecce But these students are at school. And are struggling there.

Sorry you tried to swallow a bunch of pills at school kid, this is a home problem.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@fordnation What about the tonnes of CO2 that will be realised when you dig through the peat bogs? Your once-in-a-generation opportunity will have lasting consequences for all the future generations.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@globalnews Do they realise many schools do not have kitchen facilities? I hope there is funding to get kitchens installed rather than offering frozen meals.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@fordnation @ToddSmithPC @GraydonTheMPP @JAYakabuski Hey Ford! I'm in Pembroke too! Wanna stop by a local school and see what the real conditions are. I'm finished my lunch break soon. Hit me up and il give you a proper tour

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@Sflecce How is that productive when it's already being done? They have finished screening k-2 and you are spending your time now discussing it?

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@Gordon727Gordon @jennyleeshee @Sflecce You know what's fun? If they are essential, the bargaining will switch to arbitration. A deal will be set based on the province's finances. The government does not want this as they would be forced to pay cupe what they deserve.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@pmc8387 @jayreynolds86 @Sflecce Nurses are trapped under the same bill that Ed workers are. A raise for Ed workers will be a raise for nurses. We strike for you when you can't

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@louas123 We already can't fill full time positions let alone find supplies. You think they will find people to replace CUPE? Good luck!

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@Sflecce @MichaelTibollo @laurasthornhill @NatKusendova @mbmayor Why are we still supporting Catholic schools? I am all for religious freedom but what about religious equities? Why does the government fund Catholic schools but not other religious schools? Or scrap the Catholic board and fortify the public sector.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@brianlilley I thought you were Canadian?

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@jwillp905 @joshua2014ever @brianlilley @insertnamenow19 Really?

Who makes visuals? Who cleans and sanitizer sensory equipment? Who preps food bins? Who meets for case conferences (those are not scheduled during the school day. ) I don't think you understand that you have to have eyes on a student 100% of the time

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@Sens2022 @joshmacewen @brianlilley @insertnamenow19 Are you an EA? I am (ETFO). I do have prep time and I use it fully every day. I can't I'm again not having it.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@brianlilley @insertnamenow19 I mean, do you expect them to continue doing prep unpaid? Other boards give EA's 30 minutes of prep and we accomplish a lot in that time. It takes time to create visuals, prep students work, fill out aggressive reports etc. We should be paid for that

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@mathew_clancy If you cared about students, our spec ed students would be well supported. The OAP wouldn't be waitlisted and families in crisis would have support. But you don't and instead, EAs are working in very challenging circumstances. We deserve to be paid

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@JamesDBowie Professionally. I'm a wife and I enjoy sewing. There are too many rules that I don't understand.

Also, it's a nice side gig for other military spouses. Gotta support them

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@PCPressOffice If that were the case, you would have made schools safe. A child attempted to stab us with a broken meter stick this week. No funding for safe schools EA's. If you cared, it would show

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@derekgiffen @pritsingh88 @CP24 Guess they should get raises like private sector then.

[Laura Nelson @LauraNe60266379]

@PCPressOffice If you were with our students, they would have the supports they need to be successful. Spoiler alert, they are not.
