@educator4ever36 It should be a red flag when an educator wants to get out of the classroom right away. All system , spec Ed jobs should have a cap. Admin should be in the classroom 1 every 5 years. All of these positions should focus on kids instead of private offices.
@TheSpec Students should be attending their catchment schools; that would help with projections and wear and tear on buildings. It would also reduce the reliance on portables and issues with overcapacity (access to bathrooms, music rooms, specialty teachers).
@mobinfiltrator It is interesting; as a “reporter” about crime and policing, one would think hed appreciate your perspective and would want to interact with you.
“In his decision earlier this month, Judge Gassia Apkarian of the Superior Court of California noted Oorah's programs include "matchmaking for young adults and gap year trips to Israel for 17 and 18-year-olds." https://t.co/7q8hIsg8uh
@DavidFord32@Teachers__Unite Exactly. The number and complexity of needs are surpassing the traditional classroom model. Students need access to pediatricians, ELL, speech and language, mental health and social work supports. There are limits to what classrooms and schools can provide.
@DavidFord32@Teachers__Unite The reality is, students are arriving in Canada with fractured or no schooling experiences, no literacy in their first language (so we can’t use translation materials); no medical diagnosis. Often there has been trauma. They need specialized supports and unique care plans.
@mobinfiltrator I really appreciate the insights, experiences and absolute wrongdoings you share in this book. It makes me wonder about all organizations with power, access to info and community influence. It shows the impact of reputational harm. I hope you and your family are recovering.
Shortly after Ont. civil servants were ordered to return to the office full-time, we checked to see whether Premier Doug Ford was following the same rules.
His calendar showed in-person and Teams meetings -- from the Etobicoke home office.

@mobinfiltrator The Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) has an area on its website where investigations are searchable, with the outcomes. Nothing is redacted. Policing needs the same level of accountability and transparency.
@TorontoStar MOE + School boards need to focus their funding on kids and classrooms. Fewer managers and roles without teaching responsibilities imo. This solution makes sense.
@TorontoStar It’s elementary- half day rotary at most. Workload demands must be equalized. Every teacher should be teaching literacy or numeracy and connect with students through fun subjects like art, drama and phys ed. Rotary becomes a way to give friends of the P jobs with small workloads.
EQAO rankings are missing the very key point that exempted students’ scores of zero are not counted towards a school’s score. You should be asking how many students were exempted. @CHCHNews
Again, you’re showing a poor understanding of issues in education.
@nsachdeva2019@globeandmail@PaulCalandra@Educhatter@rastokke Constructivism and full inclusion do not permit space or focus for structured learning, practice and feedback. Also, math coaches should be providing extra intervention for students. Classroom teachers are constantly critiqued by grifters; so toxic.
@AndreaGrebenc I guess that’s the murky part - if it’s offered to the municipality, does the board make money selling land which was given to them? A similar dispute occurred with Ancaster’s Maple Lane site. Do boards buy the land initially? Thx for the info 😊
@AndreaGrebenc Is this the case in new subdivisions, where land is reserved for schools? Or is that purchased at some point? For example, both school lots in Halton’s Lakeshore Woods were sold to developers.
