One year later, after all the reports, analyses, intelligence failures, and mounting fears of a regional war, this conflict could end in an instant.
In the north, if Hezbollah stops its attacks and announces it is severing the connection between the northern and southern frontsโa decision it made when it launched its assault on October 8th.
In the south, if Hamas, under Sinwarโs leadership, releases the hostages and agrees to leave Gaza, an idea that was already discussed in Israelโs war cabinet back in February.
Behind all the smoke and confusion, this is still the best outcome for the region. This needs to be said openly, even in times when rational is sidelined.
Yet, some in the West persist in framing this conflict as a moral equivalence of sorts, which is not only misleading but dangerous. It fuels the extremism that thrives on perpetual war, costing the lives of Israelis, Palestinians, Lebanese, and countless others in the region.

@RepRashida Why a proxy of Iran operates within Lebanese borders, undermines the legitimacy of LAF and of the government, and endangers the Lebanese people? You couldnโt care less about the Lebanese people. Israel actually does, the operations are incredibly accurate to minimize casualties
