It finally happened. Nosy neighbour came round to ask if I knew who owned my house: “The garden is all overgrown + the tree is overhanging” & offering to help: “Must be a shame that you can’t use the garden”

Actually it’s my house, & the wildlife & I love my garden! #NoMowMay 💚

This willow tree is currently hosting 3 different species’ fledglings 😍
And it is a lovely shady spot for those sunny days, with a wildlife pond underneath.

@Natures_Voice Thanks! I’d read about it happening with blue tits and starlings but couldn’t find any information online about sparrows doing this too, so I thought it was unusual. Clever little things 💚

Spotted this unusual sparrow behaviour: Plucking lavender leaves for nest building like blue tits do to disinfect their nests?
Never seen this with sparrows before though... Anyone else? 👀
