I've stopped listening to comedy on the radio purely because of the audience "laughter". It may be they are entirely spontaneous and natural but the effect of the production makes me feel very uncomfortable. Maybe it's just different? Anyone else? @Halcruttenden
@pepemac27 Think it’s very unhelpful… though it does illustrate a point… we need to work together. It’s ridiculous there is a hospital/ GP divide… it’s all ego based and as a profession we need to address it… who hasn’t felt frustration at another speciality…we need act as a team

@ankitkant@ClareGerada Wish primary and secondary care could align and then we would realise our power… while they have us arguing we have none. I’m a gas woman plus icm consultant so I never write to gps… so I have no axe to grind either way
@ankitkant@ClareGerada Yes but it’s naive to not realise those get decided at source… secondary care is completely dependant on primary care. So they will get reviews on what they deem we can or can’t provide. Doctors are crap at all this stuff in general… mainly because we are doctors not managers.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of talking to some of our critical care team. Don’t be under any illusions that the 2nd wave is any easier than the 1st. We now have a bigger ICU but staffing is stretched and we are over-full. Tough work, but everyone doing an amazing job #CEOGlen
Delighted to announce RAFT’s first publication from the #DALES study published in @BJAJournals 🎉
A brilliant testament to the power of #traineeresearch. A HUGE thank you to all the trainees who contributed 👏 and @NIAAResearch for funding the study
