This morning we had to escape Emoji Island! Students worked together using what they have learned in math this year to be able to get off the island! The winning team decided to rescue a couple of friends as well! @BrendaLCoyle @MeversEagles

I was opening the morning announcements today when I saw a preview of a live feed of NASA's Perseverance Rover on Mars - of course we watched it! My students loved it (so did I)! We learned it took 7 months for it to reach Mars! @BrendaLCoyle @NASA @NASAPersevere

Today was "dress as your future career" day at school and some of our virtual students joined - they even changed their name on their Zoom to match their career! We had a babysitter, an actress, an EMT, and a judge! @MeversEagles @BrendaLCoyle

I'm always looking for new ways to engage my students and have activites that work for in seat and online at the same time! I recently found @PlayBlooket, my kids were BEGGING to play more! Similar to Kahoot, but a little more interactive & self-paced! @MeversEagles @BrendaLCoyle

Today we had to use our knowledge of the water cycle to help our family escape the thunderstorm and rain at the park! Students had fun working together and solving the puzzle codes! Our friends online also participated using breakout rooms! @MeversEagles @BrendaLCoyle

4th grade got to make rain today! We explored how the temperature of the ocean and the sky interact to cause evaporation and condensation! @MeversEagles

In science we have been learning about sound energy. This week we learned what effects pitch by making rubber band instruments and using rulers! I adjusted the assignment for mobile students, but some were able to create their own rubber band instrument at home! @MeversEagles

4th grade has had a lot of fun reviewing for our unit assessment next week! They have been using centers to practice rounding, comparing numbers, using place value, and the four operations. Love seeing my students so excited for math! @MeversEagles

4th grade had a lot of fun learning about light energy this week! They explored how light is reflected and how rainbows are formed using flashlights, mirrors, water and cds! Our virtual students also got to complete the same experiments from home! @MeversEagles
