Finally, as a grad of Keene Mill Elementary and West Springfield High school, I cant begin to describe how amazing it was to see administrators and teachers from both of those schools, in addition to the teachers from many other schools who joined us. Thank you!
So grateful to the Springfield community for making yesterday an incredible success. We can not let yesterday be the end of our activism. Keep speaking up. See this list of action resources, including actions specific to Fairfax County, to keep fighting: https://t.co/XDLeww5vIw
We also can’t thank enough the local representatives who came out to join us, including @KathyKLTran@EFillerCorn@JamesWalkinshaw and @LJ4fcps. We are so grateful for your support, and for you being dedicated to using your jobs to fight for justice.
Today @FairfaxNAACP invited @McKay4Chairman, the chief of police, and the entire Board of Supervisors to a virtual town hall next week on Tuesday, June 16th at 7 pm. At that town hall, we will discuss our policy recommendations to ensure transparency and accountability locally.
TODAY IS THE DAY. Here are some more details to keep in mind. The first image has important day-of reminders. Please read if you are participating and share with people you know are coming as well.

The First Amendment doesn't allow you to fire tear gas at protesters for a photo-op.
It doesn't allow you to spy on protesters.
It doesn't allow you to attack journalists.
It doesn't allow you to punish critics.

THIS is terror. This is instigating violence. This is the collapse of law and order. This is the failure of american democracy. Trump saying he ‘stands with peaceful protestors’ is sickening.
Clergy were apparently passing out supplies and providing medical care from the patio of St. John’s all day. At about 6:15, after a day of peace, they were driven off their own porch with tear gas, concussion grenades, and rubber bullets. All for a PHOTO OP.
While thousands of U.S. troops are being airlifted to the Middle East, the anti-war crowd is mobilizing stateside.
A long march has walked from the White House to the Trump Hotel down Pennsylvania Avenue, calling for the complete withdrawal of American forces from Iraq.
