We come into this world with the capacity for sadness as part of our human nature, but finding joy requires conscious effort and dedication and learning to find how to co-exist with sadness.

The Ultimate Irony Elon Musk Never Saw Coming
Remember when Elon Musk spent $44 billion to buy Twitter, rebranded it to X, fired everyone who knew how to run it, and turned it into a right-wing echo chamber so he could help Trump win?
Yeah. About that.
Because out of the shadows comes Dark Brandon Junior — and he's running laps around the entire MAGA ecosystem.
Hunter Biden (@HunterBiden) marked 7 years clean and sober on June 1. Instead of hiding, he posted a video thanking his recovery community. Then the trolls came for him. And instead of clapping back with anger, he disarmed them with something MAGA doesn't know how to fight: self-deprecating wit, radical honesty, and zero fs given.*
When someone accused him of leaving that White House coke behind, Hunter replied: "It most definitely was not. I would never have forgotten my drugs."
When someone photoshopped a pipe in his mouth, he corrected them: "A crack pipe doesn't have that little bowl at the end. This is why we can't trust AI."
When a user said they'd vote for him if he made a crack joke campaign ad, Hunter fired back: "How about 'Let's take another crack with a Biden.' Needs work but the possibilities are endless."
The result? Even his former MAGA tormentors are apologizing. One user called him "the MAGA whisperer." Hunter's reply summed up the whole damn problem: "Left, right, D or R, we all want the same things. We're being divided on purpose by the Epstein Elite Oligarch class because as long as we're at each other's throats, they get fat and rich off of our misery."
Meanwhile, I posted a side-by-side: Don Jr. looking like he just crawled out of a three-day bender vs. a clean, sober, sharp-witted Hunter Biden. Asked a simple question: Which first son's family would you trust with American democracy?
You know what's beautiful? Elon Musk spent billions to control the narrative. And now Hunter Biden — the man they spent years trying to destroy — is using X to unite Democrats who felt voiceless, shame trolls with humor, and remind everyone what actual redemption looks like.
So here's my message to every Democrat clutching their pearls about "messaging" and "optics":
Stop. Just stop.
Hunter Biden is out here doing more for Democratic morale than half the party's consultants. He's not running for anything. He's not farming for clicks. He's just speaking like the Americans his father and our parents raised — honest, unafraid, and unwilling to let bullies define him.
Meanwhile, the other side nominated a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist and didn't blink. They don't do purity tests. They do power.
So let's be clear: Laugh at the memes. Share the posts. Tag @HunterBiden every chance you get. Because every time you do, you remind people that redemption is real, that sobriety is worth celebrating, and that the party of "family values" spent years attacking a man for his addiction while their own golden boy Don Jr. can't even keep his eyes open in public photos.
Elon Musk, thank you. Without you, we wouldn't have Hunter Biden lighting up your own platform with truth, humor, and the kind of unscripted humanity MAGA can never fake.

Imagine an underwater Grand Canyon where corals have been growing since before the United States was founded. 🐠
Plunged in total darkness. Untouched. Protected.
Until one signature changed everything.
On February 6, 2026, that's exactly what happened.
The Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument is bigger than Yellowstone.
Its submarine canyons drop into depths we're still mapping. There are sea creatures here science hasn't even named yet.
It’s underwater mountains — millions of years old, rise from the ocean floor, drawing sperm whales and endangered right whales from miles away.
The cold-water corals living here? Some have been growing for over a thousand years. A trawl net destroys them in seconds. They don't grow back in our lifetimes.
The monument was created in 2016 for one reason — to keep this ecosystem off limits from exactly this kind of destruction.
It worked. Until February.
One person. One signature. Zero public input. No congressional vote. No comment period. Just a proclamation — and a thousand-year-old ecosystem lost its protection overnight.
Proclamation 11009 — "Unleashing American Commercial Fishing in the Atlantic"— erased the ban overnight. Trawl gear, dredges, otter nets. Now permitted inside monument boundaries.
And here's the part that should make you angry — this administration tried this exact move in 2020. Conservation groups sued. They won. Biden restored protections.
Now we're back here.
How many more monuments have to lose their protections before Congress does something? 🐠

Yesterday, the Department of the Interior bragged "I know a spot" and posted an Utah overlook so alien it looks like another planet.
What they didn't post: tomorrow, the rule that said this land's health matters officially dies.
The spot is Moonscape Overlook — gray bentonite badlands carved by wind and water over millions of years. No facilities. No crowds. Just silence and a view that doesn't look like this planet.
People drive an hour down a dirt road just to stand on the rim and stare.
It's Bureau of Land Management land. Public land. Your land.
In 2024, the Public Lands Rule said something radical only in its simplicity: before leasing, drilling, or mining 245 million acres of America's public lands, conservation had to be weighed as an equal. 92% of public commenters supported it.
This spring, the administration rescinded it. 138,161 people wrote in. The rule was erased anyway — effective June 11, 2026.
So while Interior collects likes on that photo — replies full of "thank you for protecting our beautiful lands" — the same department has quietly erased the protection.
What dies with the rule? Protection for the drinking water one in ten westerners gets from these lands. Protection for the endangered wildlife that depends on them. And accountability when corporations leave the land scarred and walk away.
Utah's vulnerable public lands are already being leased. In March, 68,632 acres were signed away in a single day.
Tens of thousands more go up for auction this month — every 2026 lease sale is in the infographic sourced below. ⬇️ and while you’re there, check out the US Department of Interior’s own post just today — you don’t want to miss it.
92% of us said keep the rule. They threw it out anyway.
Who exactly are our public lands being managed for?

Let me be clear that hate has no home here in Illinois.
This symbol has one purpose: to stir up intimidation and terror.
We will not be silent — those responsible must be held accountable.
At less than 2 months old, Langley was found alone near 79th and Langley in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood. When Animal Control officers saw how crusted over and uncomfortable he was, they brought him to safety.
When he arrived at PAWS Chicago, our veterinary team discovered that Langley was dehydrated, underweight, and suffering from severe symblepharon in both eyes — scar tissue had caused parts of his eyelids and eyes to become fused together, completely obscuring his corneas.
But this tiny kitten isn’t giving up.
Our doctors are hopeful they can repair at least one eye and possibly avoid removing both altogether.
Thankfully, Langley has an incredible foster family by his side, helping him gain weight, grow stronger, and experience the love every kitten deserves.
And thank you to our feline feeding partner, @Purina for providing the nutrition that helps vulnerable kittens like Langley heal and thrive.
DC, we've arrived... along with all 3.5 million pages of the publicly-released Epstein Files.
The DC Reading Room opens today.

Trump: "[Graham Platner] is like a pig…He's worse than any human being that's ever run for office."
Trump: "Grab them by the pussy…I did try to fuck her. She was married."
For those who were so concerned about inflation in the run-up to the 2024 election, the inflation rate was 2.9% during Biden's last year in office. Today, with Donald and the White House in charge of the economy, inflation has risen to 4.2%.
4.2 > 2.9
Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) faked a phone call for roughly 90 seconds after being asked about Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments regarding potential Social Security cuts.
The phone's screen remained visible, with his cheek inadvertently tapping different parts of the display.
