1 #IconArchTC The Mary Rose sunk on 19th July 1545 and rested on the seabed until excavation (1979-1983). Among the artefacts recovered were 1200+ cast iron cannon shot. Produced in bulk, the shot have a similar alloy composition and were buried together in a single event.
