The whole operation reformation(reconquista) is about strengthening the conservative churches while the liberal ones die out.

Dispensationalism is a more historic Christian belief than that schism isn't sin.

Even the crazy sects of the 1800s believed they schismed because they were the only true church.

The idea that you can voluntarily schism when you don't have to and be totally innocent of sin is EXTREMELY modern

It's frustrating how unable some people are to comprehend basic arguments

1. Schism is sin

2. Unjustified separation from an organizational church counts as schism

3. No amount of heresy in the church justifies separation from the church if the faithful are not expelled (This is the most controversial, but I've provided my sources again and again. This was made explicitly clear by the Presbyterian Westminster divines with the following Biblical examples: Old Testament pagan demon worship done by religious leaders, Apostles staying in Jewish church after its leaders rejected Christ and not leaving until kicked out)

4. PCA, OPC, etc all separated from the Mainline due to errors in the church despite not being excommunicated.

5. Therefore, PCA, OPC, etc are sinful churches

Where is the flaw in the argument? Simply saying "your church is liberal" or "the REAL schism is false teaching" or "I have kids" is not an argument.

I am willing to debate anyone on whether the founding of the OPC in the 1930s was justified by the standards of historic Presbyterian ecclesiology. Already got PCA and CREC debates under my belt. Any takers?

@AndrewF76892556 @OpStCyprian I’d agree a humbler tone should be deployed more often. I have a yearning for Nondenominationals and a sadness but I will presume all the online presence has taken a toll on him. Best to pray for his heart. Sidebar I think Presbyterianism is low church as far as I’m aware.

It saddens me to know the vast majority of Christians I grew up with have never even heard of any councils, creeds, confessions, church fathers, etc. I hope/pray more people would care about these things especially my age (24). Christianity and it’s institutions are important.
