Happy New Year! ๐
Myogenesis 2025 is back!
Join us virtually on Jan 27th, 2โ3 PM for an inspiring talk by Lavi Coren (Technion, Israel). Topic: โFibroblast diversification is an embryonic process dependent on muscle contraction.โ Donโt miss it๐

I want to express my deep gratitude to my PI Peleg Hasson, my lab mates, and to all who have contributed in their own way to the effort that went into this work. And now, onward to the next project!

I thrilled to share that my first 1st author has been published in @CellReports

This manuscript covers how #fibroblasts, diversify in muscles into distinct subpopulation during embryonic #development.
These subpopulations, reside in distinct niches, express unique transcriptome, and exert opposing effect on myogenesis. Remarkably, we found this process to fail in paralyzed muscles.
Finally, we demonstrate this process to be dependent on embryonic muscle contraction!
Thanks to all who supported this project so far!

Super excited to share our new preprint and my first paper!
Fibroblast are connective tissue cells taking part in virtually all processes from embryonic development to adulthood in both health and disease.
In this ms, we provide novel description of #fibroblasts embryonic diversification in skeletal muscles. We find they segregate largely into two spatially and functionally distinct subpopulations.
@svalver@VincentGinis Wow, quite shocking I have to say.
Really enjoyed reading the paper at the time and discussing its implications with colleagues...
@marwanm87763212@lpachter@TorahJudaism I appreciate the civil response.
It kinda makes sense if you think about it. Most jews (who were very much natives here) were exiled from this land hundreds of hundreds of years ago, and are known to had very little mixing (willingly) with people of other religions in history.
@marwanm87763212@lpachter@TorahJudaism Only about half of Israeli Jews are of European origin
The other are from middle eastern countries such as Morocco, Yemen, Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Iran (Persia) and more.
You even got a fair amount of Ethiopian jews here
