The Labour government’s Planning and Infrastructure Bill: A land grab.
This includes compulsory purchase by public bodies & governments (local & national) to buy land (which includes the green belt, farmland or even allotments) at low agricultural value rather than full hope value. After purchase they can sell land to a housing developer or solar panel company at full development value. The Bill also gives compulsory purchase rights to acquire land for nature.
This is not a level playing field for farmers. They will be forced to sell at low value, but the purchaser (often a local council) will be able to sell at full value. This is fundamentally wrong on many levels. It’s a land grab by government for commercial gain.
“We’ve set out a roadmap for farming which has been welcomed by farmers.”
~ Keir Starmer
How is…inheritance tax, compulsory purchase of farmland, scrapping the SFI payments etc a roadmap for farmers? It’s certainly not welcomed by farmers. It’s a roadmap to hell for farmers.
Can you believe that the definition of a woman is up for debate in Scottish parliament today?!
FFS - women's rights are under threat as never before.😡

The “saved millions of lives” slogan was just debunked by Oxford’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine Director. Turns out the claim is based on a model that assumed the vaccines stopped infection & transmission 🙄
German renewable company RWE plans to install the biggest solar farm in the UK across an enormous 4,000 acres of land in Norfolk.
The UK government’s GB Energy = giving huge contracts to foreign corporations to asset grab British prime farmland by plastering solar panels on it.
Is anyone surprised? 🙄
A Freedom of Information request has revealed that @DefraGovUK has carried out no analysis of the impact of the government’s inheritance tax reforms on British farmers.

So, first @RachelReevesMP withheld the impact assessment of the winter fuel allowance withdrawal.
Then she withheld the impact assessment of National Insurance (NI) increases.
Now it transpires that a full impact assessment hasn't even been carried out on the effect of the IHT raid on farmers.
THESE ARE PEOPLES LIVES THAT YOU ARE PLAYING WITH, RACHEL! 🤬
Labour launched farmer tax raid with no idea of its impact https://t.co/zZ9VDG3AeY
Fury as it’s revealed foreign farmers are being handed £500m in aid while British Farmers get clobbered by @RachelReevesMP
Stop this punitive attack on our farmers now!
Public love our farmers

I've written to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office requesting that the minister takes steps to ensure foreign farmers do not receive a penny of British taxpayer money.
And there it is…
That’s who has hold of the strings that this government is dancing to.
British people’s interests will not be Heir Starmer’s priority.
If you voted for this man, you must feel incredibly let down by his opening gambit as leader.
🤦🏻♂️
If this isn't a wake-up call to the people of this country, then we don't know what is.
He clearly needs to be removed from power before it is too late.
How that happens is the hard part.
SO.... Growth can ONLY be achieved by working with...
BlackRock.
Not family farms, not small businesses, not independent contractors, freelancers or people working in the 'gig' economy..
Just by the government working with BlackRock and Big Business and no other way.
FASCISM
This such a powerful image. Farming was always going to be one the things that acts as a bulwark against the government. The public support for farmers is huge. No Farmers, No Food.
🚨 | In one year the UK Government is likely to spend 25 times more on foreign aid than it will bring in from farmers inheritance tax changes.
1⃣ Rachel Reeves says the tax is needed to pay for the NHS. The tax alone would not even fund the NHS for one day.
2⃣ The Government makes choice on where to spend OUR money.
3⃣ The UK Labour Government is prioritising taxing us more rather than looking at the waste of the current spending.

I'm sorry, but how the f*ck can Keir Starmer justify taxing farmers out of business to raise £500m, while giving £500m to foreign farmers?
Keir Starmer has no right to stand in front of our nation's flag. He's destroying this country.
I despise him and this vile Labour party.
Every so often, you come across a number so powerful it cuts through the noise - a figure that needs no spin or embellishment because it says it all. This is one of those moments. As I’ve said time and time again, Keir Starmer is a post-national politician. He claims to act in Britain’s best interest, but in truth, his priorities lie elsewhere. Like Boris Johnson, Starmer views being a ‘global leader’ on the ‘world stage’ as the ultimate prize in politics - a pursuit of prestige over patriotism. Is it any wonder this is a man who feels more at home in Davos than Westminster? A man who has spent his time in No. 10 removing portraits of Britain’s historical giants? Or that, in his ideal fantasy world, he’d rather dine with Barack Obama and Ruth Bader Ginsburg than with figures like Robert Walpole or William Pitt the Younger?
An ASTONISHINGLY ill-judged post from @Keir_Starmer
What the hell is the motivation behind this public love-in with a hard-nosed commercial investor? It's so needy and naive.
I can only guess that his plunging poll ratings mean he is already working on his career plan for when he leaves office !!
