Yesterday, we remembered Prince William’s link to Charles II which means when Prince William eventually ascends the throne, he will make history as the very first British monarch to be a direct descendant of King Charles II.

There’s more: Prince William is also a descendant of Harold Godwinson, the last Anglo-Saxon King of England. This lineage exists despite Harold's defeat and death at the Battle of Hastings against William the Conqueror in 1066.

The connection comes through Harold's daughter, Gytha of Wessex. Following the Norman Conquest, Gytha fled into exile and married Vladimir Monomakh, the Grand Prince of Kievan Rus.

Over the centuries, the Godwinson bloodline wove through various European royal houses, including the Kievan, Polish, Lithuanian, and Danish dynasties. The bloodline eventually returned to the English royal family centuries later. 🇬🇧 The Prince of Wales has arrived in Devon to visit the Apricot Centre — a carbon-negative regenerative farm & wellbeing service — which will highlight the value of regenerative, sustainable farming & the vital role of nature in supporting wellbeing. HRH maintains a ‘strong interest’ in how organisations transition to net zero &, since becoming Duke of Cornwall, has set the Duchy of Cornwall the ambitious target of becoming net zero across the estate by the end of 2032.

During his visit, Prince William will tour the farm & hear how the Apricot Centre has evolved into a financially viable & environmentally pioneering enterprise, achieving an annual turnover of £1.3 million while also becoming carbon neutral & increasing biodiversity across the site by 400 per cent.

The Prince will also visit the Centre's on-site wellbeing garden which originally featured at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show as an award-winning garden for Bowel Research UK. HRH will learn more about the organisation's work supporting mental health & wellbeing alongside its farming activities.

Set on 120 acres, the Apricot Centre uses organic & regenerative farming methods, including agroforestry, permaculture, rotational grazing, & crop rotation. Alongside producing food, the Centre supports farmers & land-based businesses, offers nature-based wellbeing therapies & training courses. The Centre also delivers hands-on educational visits for primary & secondary school pupils, giving children the opportunity to explore where their food comes from while developing a greater understanding of food sustainability, biodiversity, & emotional wellbeing.

So it turns out the BBC’s “Question Time immigration special from Dover” wasn’t a neutral audience at all – it was co‑produced with a migration‑lobby outfit that literally plants and coaches small‑boat migrants for TV.

Two Channel arrivals who confronted Reform’s Zia Yusuf were not random members of the public, they were identified, prepped and placed by Imix – a charity whose entire business model is “changing the narrative” to build public support for higher migration.

Imix’s own write‑up brags that Question Time gave them a chance to “test messaging” and “shape the framing of the entire programme” – and they did it on a BBC set, under the brand of impartial public service broadcasting, paid for by every household with a licence.

The BBC now admits it invited charities like Imix to help populate the audience “with people with lived experience”, while more than 1,000 viewers complained the show felt like an ambush on Reform and a piece of migration lobby propaganda.

State‑mandated funding, establishment producers, professional lobbyists gaming the format and hand‑picked activists posing as a cross‑section of the public – this isn’t a debate, it’s a managed narrative.

And when the BBC tells you again that it’s “just reflecting the country”, remember Dover: they weren’t reflecting the country, they were reflecting the talking points of a charity whose job is to make us stop worrying about illegal migration.

If Vladimir Putin changed the voting system days before an election to stop his opponents winning, every British journalist would call it what it is: rigging the rules.

Tonight, Labour rammed through a last‑minute switch in the Lords so that if Andy Burnham wins Makerfield and quits as Greater Manchester Mayor, his replacement won’t be chosen on a simple first‑past‑the‑post ballot, but on the supplementary vote system instead.

Why now?

Because Labour knows the race to replace Burnham would be a straight two‑horse fight with Reform UK – and under FPTP, the candidate with the most votes wins, no second chances, no back‑room redistributions, no “stop Reform” stitch‑ups.

Under SV, Labour gets a second bite of the cherry: if their candidate can limp into the top two, they can hoover up second preferences from every other party and magic a “majority” on the second count, even if Reform tops the poll on first preferences.

This isn’t “modernising democracy”. It’s the governing party using its Commons majority and the unelected Lords to hurriedly doctor the rules of one specific contest because it’s terrified the voters might choose someone else.

When the establishment preached to the world about “rules‑based order”, they forgot to mention one thing: in Britain, the rules are “based” on whether Labour thinks it might lose.
