It's official: #Syria has achieved self-sufficiency in wheat production this year.
The quantity received has now reached 2.7 million tons, surpassing the symbolic threshold of 2.55 million tons considered to be the country's annual needs.

From a single launch area, up to six missiles are fired in a salvo. Every attack kills dozens of civilians. There is no effective response. No interceptor missiles. The launch areas are known.

The Russians will not stop this until stopped or deterred. Yes, I mean targeting the launchers. Before the Russians start in on the noise: no, destroyed Iskandr launchers is a
proportional operational act and is nowhere near the nuclear escalation of anything.
Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."
The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.
This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!
🙏The civilian food vendor hunted by a Russian FPV drone at a vegetable market in Kherson survived, Ukraine’s National Police has confirmed.
He suffered blast trauma, shrapnel wounds and a concussion. Doctors are providing him with all necessary medical care.

This is Kherson. A Russian drone operator hunts down a civilian fruit vendor and attacks him.
The Russian with the controller knows and sees what he is doing. A vile sadist, a subhuman, deliberately steers the drone at the poor man.
Reportedly, he survived.
The White House has a serious problem: its reading of reality appears increasingly disconnected from developments on the ground. If President Trump continue to assume that Iran is negotiating from a position of weakness or is desperate for a deal, they risk building strategy on a flawed premise.
Iran's position has been consistent. Tehran intends to reach an arrangement with Oman over the Strait of Hormuz, and it has made clear that it will not return to the pre-war status quo. From Iran's perspective, any future arrangement must recognize its role in the Strait. Just as importantly, Tehran has no intention of negotiating this issue directly with Washington. Its expectation is a return to the broader memorandum of understanding, including the lifting of the maritime blockade and the release of frozen Iranian assets.
Iran is not negotiating from a position of desperation. It is not pleading for a deal, and there is little evidence that it is prepared to make major concessions on Hormuz simply because of American pressure.
The more difficult question is whether Washington's assessment matches reality. Whether this reflects political messaging or genuine conviction, President Trump often speaks as if Iran is desperate for negotiations and that continued pressure will eventually force Tehran to back down. That assumption is not supported by Iran's behavior. If it remains the basis for U.S. policy, Washington is likely to continue cycling between threats and frustration without changing Tehran's calculations.
As long as there is a gap between the administration's perception of the conflict and the realities on the ground, the current stalemate is unlikely to change. Even if the United States avoids a major military escalation, Iran is likely to continue applying calibrated pressure through attacks on shipping using the southern maritime route and by targeting U.S. military concentrations in places such as Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain through its regional partners.
The administration's shifting signals also carry broader strategic costs. They weaken the credibility of American deterrence, encourage Gulf partners to seek rapid de-escalation on their own terms, and increase uncertainty across the region.
Ultimately, Washington faces a choice it cannot postpone indefinitely. It can either accept an arrangement that leaves Iran with a meaningful role in the Strait of Hormuz, or escalate further—with no guarantee that escalation will produce Iranian concessions and every possibility that it will draw the United States even deeper into a prolonged regional conflict.
The current situation is inherently unstable. Iran is likely to sustain pressure in the Strait of Hormuz while encouraging continued Houthi operations in the Bab el-Mandeb. Even if the violence remains below the threshold of full-scale war, the confrontation is unlikely to end on its own.

I returned from another research trip to Ukraine’s front with colleagues @KofmanMichael@konrad_muzyka . Ukraine is fighting effectively, and Russia is increasing pressure on priority sectors in Donetsk during peak offensive season. Observations below ⬇️
If Russia attacks Europe in a post-war scenario, seems likelier (and entirely rational) to me that Ukraine would use the opportunity to press and seek to take territory back. That itself would have a beneficial effect for NATO in fixing Russian forces in place.
Azov Presents: "Rocky: The Final Round"
When a Russian hits the bottom of society, a phantom paycheck often appears on the horizon: a contract with the Russian armed forces.
But no matter how hard he trains, no matter how he prepares for the assault — in the zone of responsibility of First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine, he'll only take gold posthumously.
FPV drone racing is one sport where the home team always wins.
“In the coming weeks, you will see some efforts aimed at determining whether we can restart talks between Russia and Ukraine and bring this war to an end.”
At the same time, the American diplomat noted that both sides have fairly clear ‘red lines’.
“Until we can bring those red lines a little closer together, we will not achieve the desired result.”
Let me explain. “bring those red lines a little closer” means an equal distance on both sides: Russia must relinquish some of the territory it has seized, whilst Ukraine must recognise the rest as Russian. This is not mediation. It is a prelude to pressure.
The practical consequences are obvious. We will not be receiving any interceptor missiles for our air defence in the near future: weapons always become a bargaining chip just before ‘peace efforts’. Moscow, for its part, interprets these statements in exactly the same way as we do, so we can expect intensified shelling of civilian towns in the coming days.
