@profbarrydoyle We thought the same but got itchy after having had Lightening cremated. We have a picture of her, an album of pictures and an urn with her ashes, all prominently displayed. On impulse we went, two weeks later, and got a one-year old Tom called Haru, now Tiger ir Boss.
@profbarrydoyle@StoneDunk@YorkshireCCC All reading from the same hymn book of Surrey cricket, not noticing that God’s own county was losing to the Lancashire infidels! Still, there is at least more unity than is being shown in the Conservative leadership election.Duncan is clearly a unifying force.
@HistoryatHud@HuddersfieldUni History at Huddersfield has had an overall satisfaction of over 90 per cent many times over recent years. This is an immense achievement which needs to be fully recognised and should not be put aside when there are temporary blips in student numbers. Quality counts.
@RE_histories Looks a bit on the thin side for someone like me used to the size of the files at The National Arcives! Ah, well, all in a mornings work.
@hisjlm@StoneDunk Pity that I can’t be at the Different Class lecture since I was marginally involved in Duncan developing his ideas at Huddersfield University. Let me also shamelessly advertise that my new book The Football Pools and the British Working Class is about to come out. Good luck D.
@BillamGreg If you are at the LSE there is The Yorkshire Hussar near Gray’s Inn If you are at The National Archives , and in Richmond, there is The Victoria as one heads out towards Richmond Park.
