Almost two years since @AssalRad wrote this piece I think we can confidently say her thesis has been vindicated
The US is destroying the international system along with Gaza https://t.co/FrEK2MP9xN
#Gaza's cacaphony of screams, weeping, and desperate pleas seem to reach no one and lead nowhere.

UNICEF:
The situation in Gaza is worsening day by day, especially as no aid has entered the Strip since March 2.
Water is running out, the health system has collapsed, and it’s the children and families who are paying the price.
There aren’t words strong enough to describe the cowardice and depravity of a “military” that will methodically execute medical workers, bury them in mass graves, and tell the NYT the vehicles were “advancing suspiciously” without lights on. These soldiers and their superiors are utterly depraved and a threat to all humanity.
Before hiding the bodies in a mass grave, they forgot to grab the cell phone of one of the medics who recorded his own assassination for the world to see — if it cares.
As the “soldiers” are nearing their vehicle, and the medic knows they will murder him, you can hear him saying: “Forgive us, everyone. Oh God, accept me as a martyr and accept my repentance. Oh mother, forgive me, this is the path I have chosen to help people.”
The New York Times literally won a Pulitzer Prize for its “coverage of Gaza” but now amid a war crime so shocking that it has broken through to a global audience, the paper’s Pulitzer-winning talent can’t manage to find the phone number for the Red Crescent
American doctors in Gaza:
“It makes sense to target children if you’re trying to target the future”
“There’s a definitive pattern of Israeli soldiers targeting quite specifically children”
“When you see a child is being shot in the head, every day, multiple times, in the abdomen, in the chest, those are intentional”
American advocacy worker:
“Israeli forces have killed so many children in Gaza that it is most likely we will never know all of their names”
Israel claims they are fighting a war on seven fronts. They are:
• Babies & children
• Unarmed civilians
• Journalists & the truth
• Medics & aid workers
• Human rights
• International law
• Our collective humanity
Layan, who brought joy to every child, was killed by Israel with four U.S.-made MK84 missiles, each weighing a ton.
She once told me, “Uncle, I want to build a big school for all the suffering children in the world.”
My beloved Layan, perhaps you’ll do that in another life.
I just saw a Palestinian girl with Israeli shrapnel lodged in her chest, a baby’s body mutilated beyond recognition, a toddler’s amputated foot in a bag, and another small child in Gaza laying on dirt with a missing limb.
Where is the media coverage or outrage for such horror?
