Hey Pitt/CMU students/faculty! Want to see an AWESOME talk on making AMAZING scientific illustrations by Ryo Mizuta (https://t.co/ukVe1g0HZn)? Come to Pitt's Benedum Hall at noon on Monday Nov. 4th in room 102 BEH! Please repost/share!
Our open-access study in Human Brain Mapping Journal reveals direct axonal connectivity between the precuneus and temporal pole via the CB-V pathway! Utilizing fiber micro-dissection and tractography across both human and rhesus macaque brains, this study refines our understanding of brain architecture. It opens doors for targeted brain mapping in brain tumor surgery and interventions in neuropsychiatric disorders. Check it out below.

This fantastic film (only 28 mins), Freedom House Ambulance, documents how the black community of Pittsburgh originated emergency medical services via ambulance. Truly an awesome and heartbreaking story. Many thanks to the speakers & @PittPsychiatry! https://t.co/xlDjS2QefH
On June 19, 100+ members of the Department of Psychiatry community gathered for a screening of Freedom House Ambulance: The First Responders, and a discussion with Phil Hallen (FH founder), along with John Moon (FH paramedic) & Annette Banks (filmmaker). https://t.co/h2ujDOoeTx
@bita137 Thank you for raising this issue! In my experience, not fitting into a particular silo - e.g., I applied for a lot of developmental neuroscience positions and my post-doc training in humans is perhaps not as a card-carrying developmental neuroscientist. Inviting your thoughts.
Congratulations to Neil Jones, PhD, who has been promoted to Associate Professor of Psychiatry! Dr. Jones is a nationally recognized expert in child and adolescent psychology, and a leader in the field of mental disorder mechanisms. https://t.co/8916oDwHKi
Such beautiful and careful anatomical work! Please check out this awesome paper by @GSkandalakis and this exceptional group of scientists in @Brain1878. It features VTA-related microdissections, tractography and deep brain stimulation.
🧵The VTA participates in an extensive neural circuit which is modulated during DBS for OCD, MDD, Alzheimer's, cluster headaches, and aggression. Many thanks to Prof @MasudHusain and the whole @Brain1878 team for the exemplary handling of our work.
