@KOB4 Of course they were. "OMG homelessness 'problem' is growing, but we don't know how to help it" doesn't consider avg rent increased 40% total over the last two years. A 1000sq ft apt shouldn't be a higher rent payment than a 3/3 mortgage!!! What about your fixed income seniors?
@GovMLG Then pass rent cap limits!! The fact that ABQ saw average rents increase by 23% last year is insane and contributing to all the problems mentioned! #nmleg
@KOB4 Long time D and supporter, but "launching the state into the future" by rescinding telework as a viable alternative work arrangement for state employee positions that are not public, customer-facing is actually sending the State backwards.
Up 23% at my renewal. This report is off by about $500 for a 2/2 apartment in ABQ. ALSO for 2/2 rental single-family homes.
Paying anywhere from $1450-$1865 month at every complex we've considered (that's a mortgage). It's outrageous!

@Michelle4NM Can we refocus/revisit the prohibition on rent control (47-8A-1 NMSA 1978)? Rent increases of 19% in Albuquerque in the last year are ridiculous and contributing to the increase of homelessness.
BREAKING NEWS: Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner announces that Donald Trump “will be indicted,” declares that his “days are numbered.” RT IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS GREAT NEWS!
@AdamSchefter The ONLY good thing about this from a 12 perspective, is that all the Broncos fans that still throw heavy shade for SB48 will have to eat the sh!+ they've been talking about #3 and might soon be seen wearing a Wilson jersey. 💙💚😏
@GovMLG Okay, aside from the misspelling of 'green chile', I wanna follow up on some fellow states and verify that *checks notes* 'avacado' and 'corn' don't actually stand for something else? Blink twice if y'all need help CA, WV, PA, AZ!

@NMDOH Can we ask why WFH for SoNM employees isn't being supported as a solution to help keep spread down? Especially after SPO released a specific policy to continue non-emergency WFH? JS folks been sick >twice in a month being forced into shared workspaces.
@GovMLG@NMDOH Publicly announce support for non-public-facing state employees to remain WFH. Forcing workers to be in shared spaces for no good reason is not COVID safe practice.
@Michelle4NM How about not "unofficially" strong-arm forcing State employees back to germ spreading offices by way of cabinet secretaries?! How about coming out and officially backing the SPO telework policy everyone waited a year for during emergency orders?
@Michelle4NM You might retain more SoNM employee votes if you officially reconsider your "unofficial" stance on positions that have been effective during remote work being mandatory return-to-office ASAP. Especially after all the work SPO & the union did. So long carbon deficit progress...
@KOB4 So why are we pushing workers back into offices for work that can continue to be done at home?! Looking at SoNM cabinet secretaries, SPO and unofficially "the gov's office". 🧐
@NMDOH And yet it's unofficially official that the order from the top is "get thee back to the Petri-dish offices" that are SoNM departments of non-public facing workers. Why not save on traditional expenses/keep on track for carbon reduction goal by cutting commutes? #WFH#remotejobs
