I keep seeing people call Pastor Chris a false prophet, and I can’t stay silent.

I was healed of epilepsy in 2017. This wasn’t during Healing Streams. Pastor Chris came to Benin for the Higher Life Conference. He didn’t touch me. He only spoke the Word, and I believed. That was it.

I had been in Christ Embassy since I was 8 years old, but that day everything changed. My life changed. My faith changed. My understanding of God changed.

So when I hear Christians say they don’t believe in miracles, I honestly laugh. Because the Bible is clear. Jesus Himself said, “Greater works than these shall you do.”

Telling people to get up from their stretchers is nothing new. Jesus did it. Peter did it. Paul did it. The power was never in the stretcher. It was always in the Word and in faith.

If you don’t believe in miracles, then what exactly do you believe in?

God is still healing. Jesus is still Lord. And testimonies like mine are proof.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Scoliosis over 35 years ago when there were no medicines available other than massive doses of Prednisone. I was told I would not be able to walk and most likely be in a wheel chair within the year to two years. At one point my equilibrium was so bad I was unable to move without stumbling.
My entire left side as if someone took a maker down the middle of my body became numb. I was told I had scaring on my brain from the damage of the MS.
I never gave up and I became more compelled to pray and believe God was my only hope.

Since that time I have published two books, decorated three different homes, traveled and walked around the world including visits to Rome, Greek, Rhodes, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Scotland twice, and Ireland. Taught children's Church, and went back to college.

I am now almost 76 years old and this is me today by the Grace of God. So yes I do believe.....

Yes, “the whole world lies under the evil one” (1 John 5:19) — but that refers to the world system, not the believer.

John made two identities in that verse:

1. We – the children of God.

2. The world – the unbelieving system under the influence of the evil one.

Two different realms.
Two different masters.
Two different economies.

Jesus already made this distinction clear:

“You are in the world but not of the world.”
John 17:14–16

Meaning: The believer is geographically present in the world,
but spiritually located in Christ.

So yes, satan influences the world’s systems — culture, values, thinking.
But the believer does not belong to that realm.

And Jesus did not leave this open-ended.
He concluded it with victory:

“In the world you will have trouble,
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

So the believer’s posture is not: “The world is under satan, so be afraid.”

It is: The world is under satan, but YOU are in Christ who already overcame him.

Now read the very next verse after 1 John 5:19:

1 John 5:20 “But we know the Son of God has come…
and we are in Him who is true.”

That is the key: The world is under the evil one,
but we are in Christ — not in the world’s dominion.

So the conclusion is simple:

Yes, the evil one refers to satan.
But satan’s influence is over the world, not the believer.

The believer’s realm is Christ, not the world.

The believer’s identity is child of God, not subject of darkness.

The believer’s location is seated with Christ, not controlled by the evil one (Ephesians 2:6).

Summary:

• The world may lie under satan.
• The believer lies in Christ.

And eternal life is defined this way:

“This is eternal life, that they may know You,
the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17:3

Knowing Christ is your separation.
Knowing Christ is your victory.
Knowing Christ is your realm.

That is why satan is defeated as far as the believer is concerned.

Let us say it louder now.

There is a language circulating among believers today that is not biblical. It did not come from the Lord. It did not come from the apostles. It came from fear-formed religion and emotional spirituality masquerading as revelation.

Examples-
“If you do ABC, satan will immediately do XYZ.”
“Satan will always try to counter your blessing.”
“Satan will make sure you fall when you are close to success.”
“Satan will attack you because of your destiny.”
“Satan can read your progress in the spirit.”
“Satan is a master strategist.”
“Satan knows how to wait patiently for the right moment.”
“Satan will always plot silently.”
“Satan can track your destiny.”
“Satan can...”
“Satan will...”
“Satan will always...”
“Satan knows...”

Do you realise none of this is scriptural?
Do you realise the Bible does not teach any of this?

The real question is simple:

Which Bible are we reading?
Whose voice are we echoing?
What Christ are we preaching?

Because the Christ of Scripture is clear:
“I SAW SATAN FALL LIKE LIGHTNING.”
Not walking.
Not strategising.
Not patiently calculating.

FALLING.
Instantly.
Publicly.
Violently.
Without recovery.

Jesus never said: “Study his strategies.”
“Decode his timing.”
“Understand his patience.”

He said: He is fallen.
He is judged.
He has nothing in Me.

Now look at the epistles.

When satan is mentioned, the tone is consistent:

• He is defeated (Colossians 2:15).
• He is under Christ’s feet (Ephesians 1:22).
• We are seated in Christ (Ephesians 2:6).

So if he is under Christ’s feet, and we are in Christ, under whose feet is he now?

Yet modern preaching talks as if satan is running the control room of the universe.
A defeated enemy becomes powerful again when your imagination resurrects him.

Now look at how the Lord responded when satan moved against Peter:

He did not say, “Let me teach you how to analyse satan’s strategy.”
He did not say, “Let us decode the sifting technology of darkness.”
He said:

“I have prayed for you that your faith should not fail.”

Not that satan should not sift.
Not that the event should not happen.
Not that satan is unstoppable.
Rather, Christ is a higher intelligence and the preservation of the believer is in faith, not satan-awareness.

Now look at Paul.
When a messenger of satan was sent to buffet him, the answer was not: “Paul, let us now examine the demonic assignment in detail.”

The answer was: “My grace is sufficient.”

It was grace that was emphasised.
Not the messenger of satan.
Not the mechanics of attack.
Not the intelligence of darkness.

Grace was louder.
Christ was larger.
The focus remained where the power is.

Then comes the most abused verse:

“We are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11) pls read

This text has been used to justify demon intelligence briefings every Sunday.
Yet in context, Paul was speaking about forgiving a brother.

The “device” is bitterness.
Not marine spirits.
Not ancestral gates.
Not demonic strategy modules.

Paul was saying: If we refuse to walk in love, satan takes advantage of that breach.

That is all.
Where Scripture says stand, we have built surveillance systems.
Where Scripture says resist, we have written theologies of fear.
Where Scripture says give no place, we have built entire doctrines giving him centre stage.

The gospel is not a publicity ministry for satan.
No preacher is called to be satan’s analyst.
No believer is called to be a demon archivist.

The gospel is the revelation of Christ.
The life is found in Christ.
The victory is sustained in Christ.
The believer stands by Christ.

And Jesus Himself defined the entire essence of the Christian journey in one sentence:

“This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17:3

Not: “That they may study satan to survive.”

No.

The life is knowing God.
Once Christ is known, satan becomes a non-factor.

Because revelation of Christ does not only expose satan.

It cancels him.

I’ll say a few things…

1. The anger, the hate, the love, the applause, the criticism, all of it is valid and I embrace it.
2. I am a world record holder which means I have attained something no one else in the world has ever done. I was recently honored and awarded by the city of New York.
To be honored and received by the President and the highest office in my own country for this reason is not a crime. (It is not even a national honor by the way).

I have declined many awards.

Comparing me to people who have received awards and recognition from countries that have committed war crimes is at best laughable.

3. I have no interest in partisan politics because of the sensitivity of the work that I do. If that ever changes, then I would resign my role as CEO of chess in slums Africa.

4. The rhetoric that Chess in slums only exists or is relevant because of bad governance is not accurate. The real impact of our work is in the synapses. We’re using chess as a tool to teach cognition and improve academic outcomes. Using it as a social intervention tool is because those children have fallen through the cracks and cannot make it to the classrooms. This is not charity or “NGO”. What most of you measure as the most tangible impact is we just dignifying the stories of the children you see all the time on the streets but pay no attention to. The real impact here is ensuring they have the critical capacity to think for themselves and putting them through formal or vocational education.
I continue to consult with educational institutions and tech companies around the world, so my work will always be relevant and whatever resource or influence that gives me, I will use all of it to serve the children who deserve a place in the world as well.

5. A visit is not an endorsement. I will visit many more people and will continue to sell my chess boards.

6. You may not understand my intentions or character because the only thing you know about me is what I let on social media. But reputation is not character.
It’s been 10 long years of staying with this one thing, so I know for a fact that I have earned the benefit of the doubt.

7. Again, I embrace the love and the hate. But I care for none of it.
In a decade or two, the Chess/STEM institute will stand and it will be a place where thousands of children will dream again and be educated in a way that makes them valuable to the world.
All the strong opinions we have now falls flat in the face of this.

8. Finally, I appreciate everyone who has ever supported the incredible work we’ve done in the last 7 years. We have never applied or received any international grants in this time.

9. We’ve been working with the Lagos state government for about a year now to take kids from Jakande and Isale Eko off the streets. One of them recently graduated from furniture school and is living again. Our collective hurt is valid and we may disagree on politics but there are actual lives at stake and we all have a role to play in whatever capacity to stop this hemorrhage. Yes we will partner with the government to scale this impact and institutionalize it so Tunde stops being the hero of the story. It’s your tax anyway.

10. Finally I’d say this, My fight is different.
I’m not on the fence. I took a stand 10 years ago for the country I want to see.
The truth is I will do many more things that may challenge your perception of me, but I know my heart is in the right place and whatever rooms my vision gives me access to, I will put the dreams and needs of the children first.

I live for the audience of one, and that is enough.
