predicts the development of "collective AI" in the near future, consisting of a network of many separate AI units that will be interconnected in such a way as to be able to share information and knowledge with each other, enabling the whole network to benefit from the learning and experience of each unit.

The convergence of these scientific and technological advances will lead to the emergence of new types of scalable, resilient and sustainable AI systems.

Today's expensive, non-shareable and energy-intensive Large Language Models, such as ChatGPT and others, won't survive in a future where sustainable, scalable and shareable collective AI units are likely to emerge.
