Yesterday, I acquired a copy of the only photo (at least to my knowledge) of the real Max. After scanning it at a resolution 3-4x larger than any other scan I've seen of the photo, I came to the realization that 68844 still wore Gill Sans lettering by the time of its withdrawal.

Mr. Conductor and Mr. Perkins are Sir Charles II’s assistants in my AU. They started working alongside STH II in 1970 when they were both 28 years old. Mr. Conductor came from the U.S. to work in the UK, while Perkins is a well-known Sudrian.
